After all, the current situation between the president and his wife seems beyond repair.

After James Carter and Chris Cloud left, several nurses and security guards came in, efficiently packed up Lily's belongings, and "politely escorted her out."

"Mrs. Carter, you should go home early. This place is too small for you."

A security guard dropped Lily's luggage beside her and coldly snorted at Lily, who was lying on the ground.

Enduring the humiliation and pain, Lily glanced at the guard, said nothing, picked up her luggage, and struggled to stand up and leave.

"Let me help you, Lily," Mark Johnson, equally distressed, offered, taking her luggage.

"Get away from me, don't show up in front of me again!" Lily tried to take back her luggage, but Mark Johnson blocked her.

"Lily, stop being stubborn. You're still weak, and James Carter has driven you out of the hospital. You can't go back. Why don't you come with me? I'll take care of you."

Lily pushed him away, "I don't need it!"

She had only walked a few steps when everything went black, and she fainted.

"Lily!"

In a daze, Lily felt something heavy on her, making it hard to breathe, and her face felt wet.

Opening her eyes, she saw Mark Johnson's face close to hers, which scared her into pushing him away with all her strength.

She looked down at herself, relieved to find her clothes still on.

Wiping her face forcefully, the thought of being kissed by Mark Johnson made her feel nauseous.

Her actions angered Mark Johnson. "Do you despise me?" he stood up and approached her. "Just a woman discarded by James Carter, and you dare to despise me?"

"What? You prefer it when James Carter kisses you?"

"What are you doing? Stay away from me!" Lily, frightened, backed away.

"Of course, it's about you. Did you think I was nice to you because I liked you?"

Mark Johnson laughed loudly. "Don't delude yourself. My heart only belongs to Emma Wilson. I was nice to you because she told me to. She said that as long as we ruin your relationship with James Carter, you can't flaunt your love in front of her, and you won't dare to look down on or mistreat her. And once you're divorced, half of the property will be ours, and I can live a better life with Emma."

Mark Johnson's evil smirk slowly approached Lily. Tonight was the perfect opportunity. After tonight, he could openly be with Emma Wilson, as she had promised him.

Initially, Lily had a sliver of hope for Emma Wilson, but now it was gone.

She couldn't believe that the person she trusted wholeheartedly was plotting to stab her in the back, her heart felt dead.

"Mark Johnson, if you dare to do anything to me, James Carter won't let you go." She believed that James Carter still loved her.

"Wake up, he's already driven you out of the hospital."

Mark Johnson stretched his arm, pulled Lily into his embrace, and kissed her.

"Ah! Stop it, let me go!" Lily struggled desperately, determined not to let him succeed.

Annoyed by Lily's noise, Mark Johnson slapped her and cursed, then roughly pushed her against the wall and coldly started unbuttoning his shirt.

Lily's head buzzed from the slap. By the time she recovered, Mark Johnson was just a step away from her.
