His words almost put a whole new soul inside of me, extracting a very dismal one... I haven't realized the depth of his words until my eyes watered and I felt my chest relax.

I did seem to doubt not one of the words he spoke, he put my whole mind at rest and I was eternally grateful for his forthrightness and wisdom.

I reach for the first fallen tear and smidgen it with my thumb.

I let our eyes meet again.

"Thank you father..." I speak through distant eyes and a shaky voice. He instantly rises and so do I. He pulls me into a fervent embrace and I let it linger, feeling safe and guided.

"Go for it... You're doing nothing immoral." He never fails to speak just the right words, on just the right timings.

"Good to know..." I sigh and he chuckles.

"Alright, let's get out there before they start questioning our disappearance." He ushers me outside and I follow his lead.

When we step out and head to the living room, we find Erik, Scott, and Emma, seated on the couch watching a very old cartoon movie that I currently struggled to remember the name of.

"Isn't that Lion King?" I chuckle and they all nod in unison.

"Where's Scar?" I ask and Erik chortles.

"What? I loved that guy..." I inform him and Scott almost spits out the drink he was having.

"Of course you do..." He says after swallowing hard and they all laugh in unison.

I've got to admit, I've always had a thing for the bad guys...

"I like Nala." Emma speaks.

"I love Pumba!" Scott adds and we continue laughing.

"Scar's the best." I add teasingly.

"Yeah but Scar wasn't the one who got Nala at the end though..." Erik adds and earns himself a glare from me as a response to his sick wit.

I steal a glance at Emma; who had her cheeks almost roasting out.

"You want to know who I loved?" Kevin speaks, breaking the ice.

We all eye him eagerly.

"Rafiki." He says proudly and we all grin.

"The wise one..." I utter and he smirks with pride.

"This game is such a mind tease!" Stacey whines all of a sudden and we all chuckle, turning to her and Andrea who were still playing clue-do.

"You guys are just not smart enough." Erik mocks and Scott playfully shoves him, defending Andrea of course... Ugh... These two are going to be the end of me!

"Why don't you go help them a little?" I whisper to Emma closely.

She snickers.

"I'm not any smarter than them." She scoffs and I roll my eyes.

Was she playing modest now?

We all know she's the smartest girl in this room...

"Okay... Yeah-right..." I scoff and she chuckles.

"Come on boys, let's take a walk in the backyard, I want to show you something. Unless of course, you choose to stay and continue watching Lion King..." Kevin says and both Erik and I instantly rise while Scott glances between us his face turning red.

I whack the back of his head and he instantly chuckles, rising, and following us.

"What a kid you are..." I mock and he laughs.
