NEWYORK, NY, USA
9:55 am ET'Oh my God!!! Can someone please get me a glass of water!!!' Linda shouted trying to manage young Miranda in her arms. The girl had fainted for the 3rd time in the month.
Reason...work stress!!!
After all it's not so easy being secretary to a strict, punctual, workoholic boss...to add on he also owned the organization. He was the CEO but after his mother died he took over the responsibility of being the Director as well. His half brother Neil shares the responsibility with him but the man always goes overboard when it comes to his work commitments.
Linda was a secretary to his mother and then to him. He didn't want to let her go but she wasn't in great health anymore. She was growing old. Her grandchildren wanted her time. Her husband wanted to spend his old age travelling with her and Linda although loved her job, had to take a call.
Her boss did not agree. Nope! Nada!
The man was adamant!
He tried it all!!!Offering her more money, bribing her husband, emotional manipulations but Linda knew him since he was a little boy. And the business tycoon who would never loose any business deal lost this one. He accepted her resignation but only upon one condition that she would bring in a perfect replacement as his secretary.
And that's when the saga began!!!
Six months!!! It had been six months and 4 secretaries who either ran away, fell ill or disappeared without any notice and poor Linda was bound by her promise although her notice period was long gone. She could have easily quit the organization but she was a woman of her words and to add on she knew her dynamic super intelligent boss would go crazy managing his work timetable if he didn't have a good secretary and 'good' wasn't 'good' for the man. Infact even 'best' wasn't good for him.
No wonder the world called him an Ogre!
At times even Linda wondered if he even had a heart? He was so ruthless at times. She felt bad for Miranda. The girl tried her best. She stuck around the longest. Last time she fainted infront of his own eyes in the meeting room while the man simply rolled his eyes, asked someone take her away and asked someone else to continue the presentation.
Linda was furious that day. She even tried to give him an earful but the man completely ignored her words by blasting his favorite metal music and continued murdering the poor keyboard that was tolerating the massacre the man did with his huge veiny hands on the little laptop.
He was huge. No wonder the nickname 'Ogre' suited him. He was a 6.5 ft Hulk stuffed into a business formal, long haired, thick bearded scary yet hopelessly handsome man who was delicious to woman only when he kept his obsidian blade like tongue to himself. His mouth only spat sarcasm which at times either angered people, annoyed people or made them cry.
But he...DID NOT CARE!
Linda would have believed he was heartless and given up on him long ago and left the office but his bond with his daughter and his messed up personal life didn't let her leave him alone. She somehow felt him to be no different from her own son Arthur.
So when she got to know that he's fighting a legal battle to win over his daughter is when she decided to stand by his side. If not personally atleast professionally support him. The least, the old lady could do. She was the happiest when she got to know that he won his daughter's custody. Because she never liked his girlfriend. Neither did his late mother Indira Nayak liked her.
Camellia was a gold digger and everyone knew about it. The vibe she carried everytime she walked into this office shamelessly like she owned this place was so dark. She knew Shankar hated it too but he was tolerating her only for his daughter.
