Author's POV:

Life is unpredictable. At times it surprises you and at times it presents you with shocking scenarios that you had never expected. Sometimes it looks like a straight path but then a mirage reflects everything. Sometimes you get the hair pin bending curves and yet you enjoy it.

Nayaks were also experiencing different emotions all at the same time.

Shankar who had thought that he would never let another woman enter his life had not only kept his heart at a woman's feet but had also managed to let alone that heart get pierced, bleed and operated protecting the love of his life.

On the other hand his wife, Anamika had her own battles. Her life was never planned by her. She married as per her Daarji's wish and will, the man treated her like trash and destroyed every ounce of hers leaving her with a tiny tot to grow inside her belly. The tiny tot which could remind her of her worst instead made her the strongest individual on this planet. A mother. She not only became a mother to her unborn child but also accepted Roshni who indeed came as a ray of light, a ray of hope in her life. Along with HIM!!!

Her husband.

She never wanted to fall in love. She had lost faith in marriage already but then the man was stubborn. He made her hopelessly, helplessly fall in love with him although they had n+1 misunderstandings between them. Yet!!! How do you explain this stupid heart.

But!!! He was now lying on a hospital bed after a surgery all thanks to a bullet he happily took in order to protect her.

She was the reason he was shot.
He could have died.
After all this...does she deserve him???
There were a hundred thoughts revolving in her head.

When there was love and pain subsiding amongst these two, there was someone stirring honey in her tea. She loves tea. This one habit. She couldn't change. She may have flew different countries but then being an Indian, Chai was her favorite. Her mother made the best Chai in the world according to her. She still relishes the memories with her mother
Her mother had lived away from her hometown Bhopal, a small city in India for ages, yet made  the best Poha ever. Today as she saw her little brother lying on the hospital bed made her insides ache. She could never cry. She didn't cry even when her mother died but today seeing her little Kiddo like that broke something badly inside her. Even the Chai couldn't soothen her insides. They were craving for something...more.

On the other hand was the eldest of the Nayaks who kept noticing everything. Omkar had managed to rush to help his brother but he was late just by a few minutes. He cursed and fought with himself. Just a little faster and maybe..
Just maybe they could have avoided all of this. He wouldn't be able to look into his Sharada Pacchi's eyes if something happened to Shankar. He still remembered how she kept apologizing to Shankar's mother for unknowingly taking her place. For destroying Shankar's childhood. He can't let anything happen to Shankar. Things must go fine. He should be alright.

Then his eyes fell on Srishti...his elder sister. Although she didn't consider him to be her brother but he was happy that she informed him when she got to know about the trouble Shankar and Anamika were in. How did she get to know? Who informed her? He doesn't know. But luckily he was in Toronto signing a business deal when he got her call. He rushed like a madman the minute he got this news.

He understood that she was more a mother to him than a sister. The otherwise emotional Srishti was beyond scared as there were rushing him to the hospital. He tried consoling her but everything was in vain. She looked angry, upset and inconsolable. She was sitting in a corner just glancing at a locket she held in her hands staring at it without even blinking. She didn't drink a drop of water for 2 days. It's only when Sameer who also happens to be Omkar's ex-employee and as per him His Wife's 'self l-proclaimed friend' threatened her of something she had a cup of milk. The man was working as her assistant and probably knew her nerves.
