Dearest Readers,

Thank you for your lovely messages. My finger feels much better now. So I tried compensating for missing out Thursday's update.

So... there's a long chapter ahead.
Enjoy.

'I don't want to!!!'

'But Sir!!! You have to take medicines and you cannot have them on an empty stomach!!!'

'Then I won't take the medicines!!!'

'But Sir!!! You can't skip them!!! This is your night dose and it involves your asprin dosage which you cannot skip as you are been put on blood thinners!!!'

'I DON'T CARE!!!'

'But Sir!!! What will I answer Mam?'

'Mam??? Haha really??? She cares??? Well then where the hell is she??? I don't care Mrs Robinson...I am not having that soup neither that boiled veggie crap and the meds hahhhhh try !!! Just try!!!' I said in a challenging tone when I noticed my nurse Mrs Robinson taking a deep breath and leaving the room.

I didn't care anymore. I'm done with this crap!!!

I kept waiting for her. She had sent food upstairs and the nurse had managed to feed me. All my expectations had gone gushing down the drain. She had prepared the food, she made sure that all my necessary belongings are kept handy but it's been a week...an entire week and I've hardly got a glimpse of hers and now I was losing my patience.

Everyone came to see me. My daughter, Kevin, Simi, Linda...even Arthur and Miranda came to see me..forget that...I received 'get well soon' bouquets and cards from my employees, media and God alone knows who...oh even that Dustbin sent me a bouquet...it's like the entire NY was asking how I was except that one woman who shares this roof with me.

I knew she would come to my room when I slept because I would have the faint fragrance of lilies on the clothes I wore, sometimes maybe she even changed my sheets... I have heard the sound of those anklets so many times faintly early mornings but due to the heavy medications I hardly manage to catch a glimpse of hers.

But now I'm annoyed, stubborn and call me child-like I want my wife here!!! NOW!!!

Clock ticked 9:30 pm to 10 pm and then finally I heard the tingling sound of those anklet bells bringing a small smile on my lips. And then finally my bedroom door is pushed slightly ajar and I notice her standing at the door in a light pink saree, loosely braided hair, the red chic Mangalsutra residing on her chest. Her face was shining as bright as a full moon yet she seemed irritated. The small red bindi on her creased forehead looked beautiful, the lines formed and the pouted lips although so kissable disturbing my craving inner desires a notch higher...she looked exquisitely gorgeous.

She had started glowing and that's when I realised... she was now in her second trimester. Ofcourse...she would look even more beautiful. Her cheeks were fuller, the saree gave a glimpse of her grown belly which made her look beautiful, her breasts were rounder and so was her dereerie. She was eating well. I made sure to get that detail from Shailaja although I didn't want her to cook but looks like Mrs.Nayak insisted on cooking for me.

I kinda like it...won't lie. Ahhh romance.

I was in my dreamland when she simply walked into the room and slowly served the soup in the bowl and kept it in the plate and placed it infront of me.

'I don't want!!!' I pretended to be upset.

'Mr.Nayak...its your favo-'

'I said I DON'T WANT IT!!!' I turned my face around because I can't move my shoulder.
