'Hello...Di...I have been trying to reach you since yesterday and you haven't picked my-' I was ready to take all my frustration out on her as I had been trying to dial her since yesterday and finally the call was answered but to my surprise I was interrupted by an unfamiliar voice saying

'Ummm...Hello Mr.Shankar!!! Ummm Srisht...I mean Mam...has ummm...been ba....ba...busy since-'

'Who are you? And why's my sister's phone with you?' I asked when he said

'I...I am her secretary Sameer!!! Actually Mam is caught up with some very important clients and she canno-'

'I DON'T CARE!!! I need to talk to Di right now!!! Just tell her that I'm her brother and she'll make some time for me!!!' I said when the man said

'I am sorry Mister Shankar but these are Mam's instructions...She told me...no one should disturb her!!!' and I lost it.

'Excuse Me Mister Saheer!!!'

'Its Sameer...Mister Nayak!!!' he interrupted when I rolled my eyes saying

'I don't care whichever eer!!! You are!!! Okayyyy??? I need to talk to my sister urgently!!! And don't you get it??? I'm not some random client talking business here.. I'm family and I need to talk to my sister NOW!!!'

'But Mister Shankar... please underst-'

'You understand Man!!! I need to talk to her NOW!!! It's either you do it nicely if not I have my ways and then remember Sydney isn't on another planet...if she's trying to avoid me...let me tell you I'll be there in no time and then-'

That's when I heard her voice in the background asking

'Who is it Sameer?' and he paused for a while and said 'Your brother Ma'am!!!' and just when I was expecting her to talk to me she said to that man

'Did'n't you tell him I'm busy?'

???? She's ignoring me??? She's never done that. That's when I heard him say

'I...I did Mam!!! But he seems... adamant!!!' when she said

'Well then tell him this is not home and this is my office and I'm busy okay???' and I was furious. How could Di just-

'Ummm Mister Shankar...I tried talking to Mam but she-'

'Tell her that just by avoiding me and running away from the mess she's created...she cannot escape the repercussions!!! I know what she's said Anamika!!! Honestly I was not ready to accept it but now seeing the way she's been avoiding me...seems I've never known my sister till date!!! Anyways... she can avoid me now but I'll call her again because I want to talk to her!!! Got it Mister???' and I was met with pin drop silence. I disconnected the call.

How could Di do something like that?
If she's thinking by avoiding this conversation she can escape her deeds
.. well she's certainly wrong. No one can talk to my wife like that. How could she blame Anika for all that happened...she was also a victim...she was also been harrased and abused by that monster. How is she responsible? Why does this society always blame the girl?

After marriage why is the girl always treated like an outsider? Why is she responsible for all bad things that happen to her husband? Why doesn't Di notice that I quit smoking because of Anamika..I'm a better family man now...I take more time for my family and my health now...I have been a better father too...My Roshni is so much more happy nowadays after she's got a mother and also her father back. But no one would notice all of that. I was expecting Di to understand all of this. She's blaming Anamika now but when Camellia screwed my life by dragging a few months old Roshni into court asking for her custody when clearly she didn't even want the child. She never interfered then but now when I have a good mother for my child, a caring partner for myself... she's ill treated Anamika???
