It's been ten days!!! Ten days since he's spoken to me after that incident. He spends most of his time at work and comes home only after I've slept. I want to talk to him. I realised that maybe I was too harsh on him. His words kept ringing in my ears days and nights. He said he trusts me. He said he won't touch me until and unless I want him to. He said he has faith in me. But then why did I hear him say all that on the phone call that night? It's not like he was lying. I could say. I could say that for sure. His tears spoke volumes that night. I could never imagine someone like Shankar breaking down like that but if he did, it definitely wasn't a lie. But even that telephonic conversation wasn't my assumption either.

I wanted to talk to him. I wanted to clarify my doubts. I wanted to have a mature conservation with him. But the man seems to have borrowed Pattu's and my Roshni's favorite Doraemon's anywhere door and seems to disappear every time I'm in front of him. I have tried to wait for him late at night but he arrives early in the morning and when I wake up early in the morning to meet him, he makes sure he'll have left before that. I wonder if he's turning into a zombie nowadays.

Although Shankar had let me take a break from my career, he had told me I can manage his schedule by working from home if needed but I had decided to join back work from today. At least with that I would have an opportunity to talk to him. But the moment I joined the office I started getting unnecessary special treatment from the staff. Even the folks who never bothered to sniff me earlier were trying to befriend me. Not just on the floor but people were pinging me on skype unnecessarily wishing me and trying to ask me to join them for lunch and coffee. This unnecessary attention annoyed me so much that I decided to take a break. I needed a strong cup of coffee which I cannot drink unfortunately so I settled for a cup of hot chocolate. Ofcourse Dustin and Fiza joined me at the cafeteria although even they were feeling conscious looking at the way everyone was staring and smiling at me.

'Ewww dude!!! This is-' Fiza was saying when Dustin interrupted saying

'Just wow!!! You are a VIP overnight!!!' And Fiza shot him a look saying

'Eeekkks!!! Noooo!!! This is annoying!!! Poor girl now has no colleagues but only puppies licking her feet!!!' Fiza said sipping her coffee when Dustin narrowed his eyebrows saying

'You gotto be kidding me!!! I would love this princess treatment!!! It's like until earlier no one cared about Anika's existence but now they all love her!!! And us too!!! You know that fucker Tom!!! He would always try to be a bitch to me earlier but today asshole was offering me to join his friends for a Saturday lunch!!! I mean sure I'm gay but I'm not an despo!!! I mean yeah he is hot and he's bi but he's dating Patricia and he's trying on me!!! What a punk!!!' Dustin said when suddenly the cafeteria went silent and Fiza said

'No way!!! Am I dreaming???' and I narrowed my eyebrows looking at Fiza who's eyes were following someone and then Dustin spat his chocolate milkshake saying 'WTF!!! You are a sorcerer or a witch Anamika??? This man doesn't even know the way to this cafeteria??? What's he doing here???' he said and I turned around and I see the Ogre himself entering the cafeteria. He passed by my side but no once did he glance in my direction and I pouted. My eyes yearned to see him since the last ten days but he's behaving as if I'm non existent in his life.

I saw him purchase a black coffee for himself as he makes payment with his card and I want him to to look at me but he simply grabs a newspaper and settles in the corner most table sipping his coffee alone. I want to talk to him. I want to confront him but what if he reacts badly infront of everyone here. I was scared of his reaction however I couldn't let my eyes look elsewhere. It's like they were trained to be glued onto the figure sitting in that corner.
