"Personally I'd like to let you go but..."I looked at him, still doing his best to breathe. " I have to listen to the person who's paying me.."
"Jonggun! You don't really have to go that far!" Crystal's voice broke through, catching my attention as she started siding with him. "Don't you dare..."
"My orders were quite clear. To make sure no one touches you," I stated firmly. "If someone tries to do so, I have to beat them into a bloody pulp."
"Oh, come on!" She protested, still trying to intervene and prevent me from carrying out my duty.
"Hey, glasses. What do you think you're doing?" A voice interrupted, and I turned to see a guy with tattoos and dressed in a jumpsuit. "I saw everything, you punk."
"Basco?" the guy who had regained his breath on the floor called out.
"Are you his friend?" I asked, sizing him up, noticing his inclination for trouble. My lips curled slightly as he approached with two cups, leaving me curious about his intentions.
"Yeah, his friend," he responded while scanning me as he stretched his arms. "So don't mess with him, or I'll teach you a lesson."
"Teach me a lesson? What do you mean by that?" I chuckled, dismissing the threat. Swiftly, I delivered a punch to his face, catching everyone by surprise. His head moved with the impact, blood flowing from his nose, causing gasps of shock from them.
"Glasses," he whispered, his gaze intense. I was caught off guard. "Take your glasses off."
'My punch had no effect?' I wondered, a tinge of surprise hitting me, but I maintained my composed demeanor.
"Huh? That didn't hurt?" I sighed, and after a few seconds, I chuckled at him. Removing my glasses, I commented, "This school is truly so interesting."
"Fine. I'll hit you!" Basco declared, assuming a fighting stance.
"Wait!" Crystal intervened, attempting to stop me. "He didn't lay a finger on me! Shall I tell 'him' you've been fighting again?"
"Shall I ask him to send you back to your original place?" She continued, skillfully playing the persuasive card. It struck a nerve on me. "If you go back, Goo will really like that!"
I stared at her as her words starts to make me realize her statement.
"You. I lost my reason since I haven't fought for ages." Turning back to both of them, convinced as I continued, holding my glasses. "You can tell your friend to put his arms down now."
"I gotta tone it down now, since I have to take the GED Test," I added with assurance, still observing them closely.
"Don't worry about the bid money. It's not my money that's going to be donated anyway," Crystal explained to them, providing a proper clarification. She then apologized as we got into the car.
"Next time you see me, just say hi... Oh, and sorry that he kicked you." She said as we left.
