"We need to find a way to make money without getting caught by the cops," I declared, my voice echoing in the dimly lit room. My mind was a whirlwind of strategies, each one designed to ensure that even if one of the crew slipped up, we'd have a backup plan to avoid getting nabbed. This wasn't just an idea, it was a lifeline for Gangdong. With the law hot on our heels and arrests at an all-time high, it was a necessity. "And I'm talking about a significant amount of money. Wrap your heads around that."
"This is an assignment for all four major crew leaders. You need more than fighting skills to run the four major crews," I emphasized, my gaze piercing through the dim light to meet theirs. "Johan Seong."
"I knew you were crazy about money, but isn't it too much to ask for Gangdong as well?" I questioned, my back resting against the cold metal bars. His plans for rapid expansion piqued my curiosity. "It hasn't been long since you took charge of 'KERS'."
"I can do this. You just saw I can," he retorted, his swift move leaving Darious unconscious on the cold, hard ground. I leaned back, my elbows resting on the metal bench.
"You are talented. I give you that. When it comes to a fight, you're the best among all the leaders," I conceded, my eyes drifting to Darious, sprawled on the ground. "I don't remember Darious being such a wimp."
"Is it because he got his ass kicked by that kid, Eli Jang?" I mused, my gaze shifting back to Johan.
"I said I'll beat that Eli Kid as well. So let me run Gangdong too," he asserted, his voice filled with unwavering confidence. His determination to hold onto this area made me pause. I stood up, my eyes scanning the 'Back door' sprawled on the ground. After a moment's contemplation, I declared, "I'll take a look at those Hostel kids. And if they're not good enough, then 'God Dog' will have to be in charge of Gangdong."
I glanced at Darious, slowly regaining consciousness. I peeled off my shirt, the cold air hitting my skin as Johan stepped outside. 'Gangnam's Workers, Gangseo's Big Deal, Gangbuk's God Dog, and Gangdong's Back Door.' I thought I had the four major crews locked down. But 'Gangdong' was back to square one. I reclined on the couch, Darious kneading my back.
One way or another, someone will seize control of 'Gangdong'. My mind raced, formulating a plan. But there was a catch. If they squealed to the cops, it could lead them right to us, putting me and the Chairman in danger. That was one hell of an assignment. There had to be a way.
"Move to the left." I ordered darius to move his hands to massage that part. I need to think a way. A way that won't get us caught by the cops, and let us nake tons of money at the same time! I need an answer! I immediately stood up and put my extra shirt on.
"Darius wants to massage you more" he told me then I looked at him for a second and ordered. "Guard this place up."
After dismissing Johan, I returned directly to the base where I found the Chairman seated, and the others attending to their own tasks. I chose not to inform him about such matters; I prefer to present him with proper results rather than headaches.
[Chapter 313: Started]
I slipped into my LV-France long-sleeve shirt and made my exit, my destination set for Gangdong. I dialed Jerry's number, the need to test them pressing on my mind. I also reached out to Sinu about the Gangdong situation, knowing that Big Deal's control over the area hinged on the outcome.
"Ah, I see. Some guys from a hostel have shown up in Gangdong," he relayed, his voice steady. "So you're heading there to handle them... Right, Gun?"
"Yup. They're the ones who took out the back door. They call themselves 'Hostel'," I filled him in, oblivious to the fact that this would be our last conversation. "I'm planning to pay them a visit tomorrow. Depending on how things go, they might end up running Gangdong."
"Is Jerry with you?" he inquired, his voice hinting at a search. "Jerry?"
"Yeah, I need him to help me test Hostel," I responded. He requested to speak with Jerry, and I saw no reason to deny him.
"You want to talk to Jerry?" I asked, only for Jerry to snatch the phone from my hand.
"Jake! Is that you?!" Jerry blurted out, pressing the phone to his ear. "Hey, you're twisting my arm."
Their conversation continued as he twisted my arm. I let him be, realizing Sinu had important matters to discuss with him. It seemed Sinu had given him an order, securing Jerry's assistance in testing Hostel.
[Chapter 313: Ended]
We tracked them down to an abandoned hotel. A kid stationed at the entrance seemed to be the gatekeeper. As we approached, he began to speak.
"I feel like crap too, so..." he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "Just go."
"Are you from the back door? Are you here to avenge your crew leader?" he spat out, his gaze fixed on the ground. "I was having a shitty day. If you're not gonna leave, come at me."
"One at the back, you come at me too." His words caught my attention, a smirk spreading across my face. He had the audacity to challenge me to a duel, a challenge I wouldn't let go unanswered.
"It's been so long since I was last called out to a fight. I'm honored," I retorted, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "The Gatekeeper of Hostel just challenged me, everyone."
"You said you'll let me handle this," Johan interjected, halting me as he began to shed his jacket. "Are you Eli Jang of Hostel? You'd better fight me for your own sake."
"I get to choose who I fight, huh?" Eli Jang drawled, his eyes scanning us. "Alright then..."
"I don't think you skinny fools will be much fun. I wanna fight your boss," he declared, his gaze settling on the figure behind me. "The bald one."
"Yeah, him at the back." It seems he's arrived.
