"Hahaha. What a funny sight," I chuckled, unable to contain my laughter. Catching their attention, Jake looked back at me, his expression a mix of surprise and shock.
"How have you been?" I asked, prompting a puzzled "Huh?" from Jake. His eyes blinked with disbelief. "It's you," he finally uttered.
"Not often you see guys fighting on a day like this," I commented with amusement, considering the rain pouring down on them. "And I know both of you..."
"It's been a long time," I told him, holding my umbrella and extending a greeting. "How are you?"
Jake, still in a surprised state, started calling me by my name. "Gun..."
"It's been a while. Have you come to see me, sir?" he asked politely, still letting himself get soaked in the rain. It seemed he was aware of my visit.
"Of course," I answered, staring at him. He then directed his attention to the other guy and asked, "Do you know that guy?"
"I once met him before," I confirmed, looking at the guy on the ground. "He has a strange name... was it Tabasco?"
"Great physique but skill is lacking," I commented as I faced the guy on the ground. "You do have talent, but you aren't ready to fight him."
"I..." I smiled as I looked at Tabasco on the floor. "I had my eye on him. He 'was' the top candidate," I emphasized the word 'was,' leaving Jake Kim confused with my words.
"I 'was'?" He asked and I looked at Jake about it. Hes still confused. And asked politely. "Why's you use the past tense?"
"Well that's the reason I'm here. As of today..."
"You failed as the top candidate." I told him while the shocked expression was drawn in his face. "I'm disappointed to you."
"W-what?" He started to stutter. I expected this. "Why?"
"Private Betting Operation." I shortly answered and I saw his expression become more suprised then earlier. "How did I find out? First rule of candidates. No actions that could get you arrested."
"I've been following a certain princess for a while now for work." I explained on him giving a disappointing look. "I found it while looking into things that involved with her."
"I came to shut you up before you get caught," I stated briefly, maintaining a firm gaze as I watched irritation cross his face.
"Ugh..." He uttered and began yelling at me.
"You!! You said I would be next!! I worked my ass off to collect that money to become your successor!" He ranted, explaining his side, but I wouldn't tolerate those justifications. "I started to work in illegal betting to give you the money you assigned me! You're abandoning me because of betting?!"
I remained calm, merely looking at him as he continued to vent. "I was working for you like a royal dog!"
"It's the rules," I told him, making him fall silent. "Pity."
I uttered those words, observing the shift from shock to a smirk as he cursed and tore his shirt. The situation was becoming more interesting.
"I'm not who I used to be," he declared aggressively. I couldn't help but be impressed by his confidence. "I can defeat you by force!"
"I didn't trust that you were just working for someone and running a business for them," I responded, chuckling at his misinformed actions. "Is that info from 'Big deal'?"
"You and Goo have a two-man operation going. The business is cheating! But it's not illegal! I know about this. You're afraid of what the police might find if they dig, so you don't want them involved," he explained, revealing confidential information. I decided to listen further. "So you keep it all under the table. If the world knew about your team's profits, it would get difficult. Per year, you two earn... 5 million dollars profit."
"I don't care who is above you. I can just inherit your team," he claimed, revealing his knowledge. Big Deal's intel was proving to be quite comprehensive. It was time to silence him before the president heared about this.
"Well, you talk too much," I told him seriously, removing my glasses. "This time... shall I pluck out your teeth?"
"...It won't be easy," he warned, adopting an MMA posture. "After that day, I built this body to crush you."
"Okay. Let me see," I responded seriously, acknowledging his challenge. The tension escalated as we prepared for the confrontation.
