I was in the bathroom changing into the clothes I made my mother go get from our house. Man, did I miss my home; I wanted to sleep in my own bed in my own room. I wanted my mom to get frustrated and make me eat at the dining table instead of the couch and get into pity fights with Jake...I wanted everything to be normal.

I put on the skinny jeans but to my dismay I was way too skinny for them. I looked anorexic, it was disgusting. I sighed and pulled them off. I spotted my white lacy dress and I picked it up. I pulled it on and smiled in contentment when I tied the back and it didn't look too baggy. It went a little past my knees and the top was spaghetti straps. I slipped on my black flats and stepped back to look in the floor length mirror. The light makeup I had applied made my gray eyes pop, but my bald head ruined everything.

A light tap on the door made me jump in surprise. After I steadied my pounding heart I called out,

"What?"

My mother answered, "Honey he is here."

"Tell him the date is off, because I'm not going." Tears sprinkled my cheeks. My mom opened the door and shut it behind her. She gasped as she took in my appearance and tears welled up in her eyes...I knew I looked horrid, but did she have to make it seem like a surprise?

"My baby, you look gorgeous."

I was taken aback, "No mom. I'm ugly and bald."

"You, my dear, are the prettiest girl I have ever seen and one thing I know is that Noah doesn't care about your hair."

She pulled me into a tight hug and whispered in my ear, "You picked a winner. He thinks so highly of you, you know that? You two are perfect for each other." I squeezed my mom one last time before pulling away. I swiftly pecked her on the cheek.

"I love you, mom." I dried my eyes and I stepped out of the bathroom and I saw Noah. He wore dark semi skinny jeans, black vans, a blue v-neck t-shirt, and a black zip up hoody. This time he wasn't wearing the blue cap he usually wore, and instead of jet black hair, his head was bald. He was undergoing a treatment for his cancer as well. I walked up to him and touched his head, my eyes watering.

"We match." I choked out. He smiled down at me and grabbed my hand, intertwining it with his. I turned toward my family. My mom was blubbering like a baby, my dad had a small smile on his lips, and Jake looked grumpily at Noah. Typical brother, I thought. I gave a small wave to my family and tugged Noah out the door.

"So, Noah, where are we going this fine evening?" I asked. I knew it would be somewhere in the hospital, on the account we were both going through treatments, and we couldn't leave. He smiled but kept walking. I noticed we were in a familiar hallway and I realized it was to the cafeteria.

"It's passed dinner hours, we won't be able to go in..." I stated, looking up at him, confused. His smile grew wider, but he kept on walking. He paused at the door, blocking my view of the cafeteria. He pulled out a small black cloth and held it up to my face. I immediately took a step back.

"No way, you are not putting a blind fold on me."

"It's just until we get sat down, please Winter?" He gave me puppy dog eyes and I instantly caved. Why did he have to me so darned cute? He grinned in victory and I turned around so he could put it on me. After he tied it snugly over my eyes he grasped my pale hand tightly. I heard him open the door and he slowly guided me through it. All of a sudden my feet were thrown through the air and I let out a small screech. I calmed down when I realized Noah had knocked my feet out from under me so he could hold me bride style. I smiled; of course he would do this so dramatically.  I couldn't help but to inhale his scent deeply, he smelled so nicely, and I wanted to stay in this moment forever.
