Today was worse, much worse. I had vomited five times already and it was only nine in the morning. My head throbbed and everything seemed way too bright and loud. I just wanted to crawl in a hole and die. Not to mention, there were reminders of Riley everywhere. I sighed, I missed that girl already. I wouldn't talk to any of my family about it, because they wouldn't understand how it feels to have your best friend die of a disease that haunted your every move.

A knock on the door made me groan. I did not want a visitor. I held my breath as the person walked in, hoping it wouldn't be one of my crying Aunts again, because I couldn't handle that today. When I saw the figure in the door way I couldn't help but give a weak smile. Noah came in and stood by my bed. My dad and brother just glared at him while my mom smiled widely, since I had confided in her about Noah.

"Who are you?" my brother demanded. My mom rolled her eyes and I shot him a warning glance.

"Mom, and dad, this is Noah." Noah shook my mom's hand and then my fathers. I could see it in both of their hand muscles that it was a tight grip.

"It's very nice to finally meet you Mr. and Mrs. Jade."

"Please, call us Willow and John." My mother said, smiling kindly at him. He nodded his head and turned to my brother.

"You must be Jake. Winter has told me a lot about you" Jake scoffed.

"You may fool my parents but you won't fool me. I have to go to work, bye Winter, Mom, Dad." He trudged out of the room, completely disregarding Noah.

"Sorry, he's not used to Winter associating with boys." My mom told Noah and my dad chuckled.

"C'mon John, let's get a cup of coffee" She grabbed his reluctant hand and pulled him out of the room.
