"I don't know." Finally, Nonsee unfroze and found his voice to answer to the doctor.

"You don't want to?" Pat asked. The sadness in his voice made Non instantly guilty.

"It's not like that. I don't know if I can escape mother and grandmother Klin." Nonsee told Pat the truth. The silence from behind the wall made him nervous.

"P'Pat?" He addressed the older male, but the only response to his call was a loud exhale and noise he couldn't identify. Soon, the familiar face popped up above the wall.

"P'Pat, what are you doing?! It's dangerous." Nonsee shouted, watching the tall male climbing over the wall.

"I couldn't wait until the fair." Pat shrugged, looking down at Non from above. Nonsee's eyes were wide, scared for the other.

"P'Pat be careful," Non said worriedly. The doctor seemed to calculate his next step before he moved. Climbing down seemed more difficult than going up, and Non closed his eyes, not wanting to see if Pat ended up sprawled on the ground. This man was insane. Out of nowhere, arms circled him, enveloping him with a gentle warmth.

"Finally, I have you in my arms," Pat whispered, tightening his grip. Nonsee opened his eyes, glancing at Pat. He was taller than he imagined and muscular. The cologne he was wearing pleased Nonsee's nose. He snuggled closer to Pat's chest and wrapped his tiny arms around him. The calming presence of the older man made him think about the caterpillar's metamorphosis. Did they feel so content in their cocoon before they became beautiful butterflies, too?

"Are you alright?" Pat asked, his voice resounding inside his chest. Non nodded, snuggling even closer. His heartbeat slowed, matching with the taller male.

"I am happy." Non whispered.
