Author's note: Part 59/??

The house was silent, and the heavy atmosphere lingered around. White snuggled closer to his brother, looking at the plate with burned cookies on the table. He didn't have an appetite to try them, so it seemed the others.

"I shouldn't have returned," White spoke up. All eyes fell on him, making him shiver. Black's arms squeezed him tighter, holding him against his chest and not letting go.

"What nonsense are you spouting?" His twin growled. White could feel his chest shaking with the sound.

"If I didn't come back, this wouldn't happen." White pointed out. His eyes were teary as he felt guilty for getting his brother and friends into this situation.

"Listen to me, baby brother." Black pulled away, placing his hands on White's cheeks, holding him still as he looked into his eyes.

"I don't want to hear this gibberish. You coming back is the best thing that happened to me. Living without you was like living half-empty. White, you are my other half, my precious baby brother, and I am not letting anything take you away from me again. Do you understand?"

White nodded, overwhelmed by Black's emotions leaking through the bond.

"I am sorry." White sobbed, leaning into the warmth of his twin's palms.

"Silly." Black huffed, pulling him back to his chest.

"So cute." Yok laughed, pointing at them.

"Fuck off." Black flipped him off. A light smile appeared on White's face. He detached from his sibling, glancing around at the rest of the gang. Gram was smiling at him, and so was Gumpa. Sean's gentle eyes assured him that everything would be alright.

"Do you want to go outside? We found an old swing at the back. It looks stable and working." Sean offered. White glanced at his twin, who was still arguing with Yok. He turned to Sean again. White wasn't sure what his intentions were, but he wanted to be alone with him for a moment.
