Sean guided White through the short hallway to the back door and out of the house. The backyard was full of overgrown grass, but the small terrace was still visible. The old swing Sean mentioned stood on the other side of the platform. At first glance, White doubted it could bear their weight. Nonetheless, he believed Sean's words. They walked closer, and Sean helped him to sit down. The old wood and iron creaked after Sean joined him. Their arms touched lightly, and before White could think, the taller male clasped their palms. He didn't dare to glance down and instead observed what used to be a garden. The swing started to sway in a small motion.

"Are you feeling better?" Sean asked. White nodded, not confident to speak out loud.

"I know everything must be overwhelming for you. Your father, Todd and now Tawi." Sean squeezed his palm tenderly.

"You don't only have Black, but me too." He added. White listened attentively. Sean's words were warm, igniting the sparks in his heart and banishing the dark thoughts about all the bad that happened. Adding to his father and Todd, he had Tawi, the most prominent businessman after him. White didn't understand why would someone like him step so low instead of creating opportunities and prosperity for the unlucky ones.

"White?" Sean nudged his side.

"I am sorry. I was just thinking." White turned to Sean, smiling.

"About?"

"Nothing important." White shook his head. The taller male nodded, but White could tell he wasn't convinced.

"I like you, White. I really do." Sean breathed out. White froze for a second before he found the courage to move closer. He closed his eyes and quickly packed Sean's lips.

"I really like you too." White pulled away, all red and shy. These feelings were too new and scary for him.

"Be my boyfriend," Sean said. White was stunned. How should he answer? Was it alright to date in this situation? Won't be Black against it? There were too many questions in his head, and yet White nodded.

For once, he listened to his heart instead of his brain.
