Attempt (Pat/Non) - Behind the Wall

The sky was getting dark, and even though Nonsee didn't want Pat to go, they had no choice. Pat climbed the wall, looking longingly at him from above before disappearing on the other side. They said their goodbyes, and now Non was all alone again. He dragged himself back into the villa, successfully sneaked around Grandmother Klin and his mother, and went straight to the kitchen to grab some food. Roaming through the fridge, Non didn't hear the steps coming towards him. 

"Nonsee, honey?" Grandma Chor spoke up, startling him. Nonsee looked at the older woman, hands full. She smiled at him, taking everything from him. 

"Sit down and let granny make you a sandwich." Non eyed her suspiciously but obeyed. Sitting at the high chair at the counter, he observed his grandmother. His mouth opened and closed a few times in an attempt to start the conversation regarding the handsome doctor. 

"So, how are things with doctor Pat?" Chor turned around, setting the plate with two sandwiches before him. Nonsee gasped at her straightforward question.

"How do you know Doctor Pat?" He pretended to be angry with his favourite grandmother. 

"Oh, dear. Don't frown at me. You will get wrinkles." She giggled as she patted his head. Non only huffed and pouted. He wanted answers, not a patting on the head. 

"He's my doctor. And I sort of show you off?" She tilted her head. 

"It's not my fault he fell in love with you." She shrugged. 

"Grandma, you told him everything," Nonsee whined. 

"And he doesn't mind, right?" Chor nudged his side.

"No..." He answered. His cheeks turned pink, remembering the nickname Pat had created for him. 

"So, meeting at the fair is happening?"

Non nodded before he took the sandwich and started munching on it. 

"Don't worry, I and Iris will help." She winked at him. Nonsee nodded again, ignoring the sparkles in his grandmother's eyes.
