Ple looks into the mirror and sees that she looks pathetic and pitiful. Of all things, why forget to use waterproof mascara? Oh, right, maybe because she wasn't expecting to cry tonight. And if she would, she thought it'd be in bed or on a couch while getting her brains fucked.

She snatches a bunch of tissues from the dispenser and tries her best to pat it around her eyes without ruining her makeup entirely; this took her two hours to put on.

Now a bit more calm, she starts thinking more rationally. Did she overreact? Is she being too sensitive? What if Sky really was just sick the past few days and just didn't want her to get it? Did she ruin this night for the two of them herself because she wanted so bad for it to be perfect?

She puts a hand on her forehead as she feels a headache coming on.

But then, she thinks to herself, maybe...it's not too late. Maybe she can still make up with Sky and they can just enjoy the rest of the night whether it ends with a bang or not—pun intended.

She recollects herself, holding her chin up and making her way back to the party. But halfway through, she hears voices and it seems to be coming from the garden.

She wouldn't have cared had she not recognized one of them to be Sky's.

"This is silly." He says in that annoyed voice that he uses when he's not actually annoyed. It's followed by low giggles from him and someone else.

After practically just going through a meltdown, Ple tries to calm herself and not jump to conclusions. She slowly comes up to the outdoor garden. The first person she sees is Sky but somehow, he almost looks like a stranger.

He has a smile on his face, one that reaches his eyes. His body language seems relaxed and his hands are perched on another's shoulders. For just a split second, Ple assumes it's another girl and anger bubbles in her chest once more.

But then...

The other party slowly comes into view and her stomach sinks. "P-P'Pai?" She mouths but no sound escapes her throat.

What's going on? In her head, she tries to come up with every possible explanation. Maybe they're friends. Maybe this isn't what it looks like and she's just reading way too much into it.

But the closer she looks at them, the more undeniable their chemistry and the attraction in their eyes are. Then it hits her like a truck; Sky has never looked at her like that. His gaze towards her was fond, yes, but not as though she were the only person in the world just like how he's looking at Prapai now.

And he always seemed on his toes with her, like he didn't want to make a mistake. But at the moment, he looks like he doesn't have a care in the world. It's honestly a good look on him but the truth that it entails makes Ple not want to see it.

"At least, we'll tell Phayu and Rain that we danced to his song number." Prapai kids and Sky rolls his eyes but there's no heat behind it, only genuine happiness.

Ple feels dizzy now and as if on reflex, she turns on her heel and just continues down the hall and back to the party.

Meanwhile, Sky and Prapai are still slow dancing, just barely moving their bodies left and right but with their chests almost flush against each other. And Prapai is gazing down so lovingly at Sky that he almost gets lost in them. But then, Sky's expression turns sad and he tells the other then, "We shouldn't be doing this."

"Why?" Prapai asks to which Sky somewhat snaps, "You know why. I'm...I'm with Ple."

At this, Prapai presses his forehead against Sky's and whispers, "But why do you have to be? Sky...why can't you be with me instead?"
