The hunter charged towards Loki. He threw a punch, but she caught his fist, twisted his arm, and pinned him to the table. But, fortunately for Loki, the Time Twister device that Mobius had used on him was right by him. He managed to grab it, disable his collar, and put it around her neck. Just as she was about to attack him again, he managed to rewind time and she disappeared.

After toying with the hunter for a few seconds, Loki transported her to what he hoped was far away from where he was.

He was alone again.

He threw down the Time Twister on the table, picked up the Tesseract, and sat down on one of the steps of the theater. He set the Tesseract down beside him and put his face in his hands.

Just then, the doors to the theater opened. Loki didn't bother to see who it was this time. Until he heard them speak.

"Loki?" Mobius approached him cautiously, one of the TVA's weapons raised.

"Nowhere left to run." He said.

Loki didn't try to escape. "I can't go back, can I?" He asked instead. "Back to my timeline?"

Mobius didn't answer him, and that was all he needed.

"I don't enjoy hurting people." He confessed. "I don't enjoy it. I do it because I have to, because I've had to."

"Okay, explain that to me," Mobius said calmly.

"Because it's part of the illusion." Said Loki. "It's the cruel, elaborate trick conjured by the weak to inspire fear."

"A desperate play for control." Mobius rephrased. "You do know yourself."

"A villain." Loki sighed.

"That's not how I see it," Mobius said as Loki picked up the Tesseract. "You try to use that?" He asked.

"Oh, several times," Loki answered. "Even an Infinity Stone is useless here."

"The TVA is formidable," Loki admitted.

"That's been my experience." Said Mobius. "Listen, I can't offer you salvation, but maybe I can offer you something better."

Loki stood up, somewhat curious.

"A fugitive Variant's been killing our Minutemen," Mobius explained.

"And you need the God of Mischief to help you stop them?" Loki guessed.

"That's right," Mobius confirmed.

"Why me?" Loki asked.

"Well, we've been trying to capture them for awhile now, and they keep escaping us no matter how hard we try. They always have tricks up their sleeves. You're a master at tricks and escapes, so I think you might be our best shot at getting to them."

"And who is this Variant you speak of?"

Mobius hesitated for a moment before saying, "We don't know."

Alright! That's the end of Episode 1! Let me know what you guys think! I hope you like it so far.

Also, can someone tell me what voting does on here? I'm new to this. 😅
