"Sylvie." Someone whispered, shaking her by the arm. "Sylvie, wake up."
Slowly, Sylvie opened her eyes, keeping her guard up. Loki was still sitting across from her.
"What is it?" She asked. "Are we there yet?"
"No," Loki said. "But I thought of an answer."
"To what?"
"Your question."
Loki got up out of the booth and Sylvie followed him.
"Love is a dagger." He revealed, pulling out a dagger with his magic. "It's a weapon to be wielded far away or up close. You can see yourself in it. It's beautiful. Until it makes you bleed. But ultimately, when you reach for it..." he trailed off, and when Sylvie tried to touch the dagger, it vanished.
"It isn't real." She finished.
"Yeah."
"Love is an imaginary dagger."
"Doesn't make sense, does it?" Loki asked.
"No," Sylvie replied. "Terrible metaphor."
"D*mn." Loki cursed. "I thought I had something there."
Sylvie smirked and shook her head. But something felt off. Then she noticed it.
"Loki," she said slowly. "Where's your uniform?"
He looked down, just now noticing that he was back in his TVA attire. He glanced back up at Sylvie, eyes wide.
As if on cue, two pairs of guards entered through both sides of the car. A man pointed towards Loki and Sylvie.
"Stay cool," Sylvie whispered.
"It's gonna be fine," Loki assured her.
"Sir," one of the guards approached Loki. "Can I see your tickets?"
"Um, tickets. Yes, of course." Said Loki. "Here they are."
Instead of tickets appearing in his hand, however, fireworks shot up out of it.
The guards pinned Loki's arms behind his back, despite Loki's protests. Sylvie tensed, preparing for a fight. Sure enough, the guards handling Loki soon entered a fistfight with him. Sylvie turned towards the other pair of guards to hold them back.
When the first guard approached her, Sylvie used what was left of her horn headpiece to hit him in the face. The guard stumbled back, and the other guard started to advance toward her, but she kicked him. She looked over towards Loki. He seemed to be holding his own just fine. But checking up on him cost her. A guard came up behind her and put her in a headlock. She backed him up into a wall in an attempt to get out of his hold but failed. Loki aimed a dagger towards them but missed and almost hit Sylvie.
"Awful throw." She muttered.
Before Loki could continue to fight back, two guards grabbed him and threw him out the window.
"Loki!" Sylvie exclaimed. She managed to get out of the guard's hold, sprint towards the window, and jump out.
Loki landed on the ground at full speed, his jacket flying off in the process. Sylvie landed a few feet away from him.
With a grunt, he stood up and started to run towards the train, only to give up after a few seconds because the train was already miles ahead of them.
Loki let out a stressed sigh. How could he have done this? All he did was just doze off for just a second, and his illusion faded away.
