Chapter 8: Collecting Infomation

I spent most of the night thinking about how I could help Emily, and one thing I learned thanks to my mind reading abilities is that Mr.Maddox wants to turn Emily into a war weapon, and I also discovered there are many people hear that I need to help. There's a fifteen year old boy in cell 8a named Aaron who now thanks to Mr.Maddox
(that is with some sacastium) is blind.Everyday he is filled with fear, and sometimes confusion, and all he wants is to have his old life back. Aaron used to be able to shoot laser out of his eyes ,but then after a operation he is now completely blind ,and he will never be able to see again. All Aaron will ever be able to see is darkness.

Every way that the doctors interact with Aaron scares him ,because he doesn't know whats happening to him. Mr.Maddox is keeping Aaron here for two reason he can't discharge Aaron from the Complex ,because this place is known to everyone in the government ( Besides President Carter I'll get into that later) thinks this place is a school to help mutants (adults & children) with there so called 'gifts', and if a boy comes here perfectly healthy ,and leaves completely blind there going to think somethings up,and Mr.Maddox also wants to keep Aaron here because he wants to see if Aaron has anymore useful mutations,but Aaron & Emily arn't the only suffering mutants. Each mutant here is suffering ,and I have to help all of them. Now you know how I said that President Carter knew that this place was worst then just helping mutant with there mutations ,because he created 10years ago before he became president,but he couldn't tell anyone the truth because I am almost sure all of this is illegal, and when he ran for president he looked like a big hero for helping the poor mutants.

Well five years ago Mr.Carter put Mr.Maddox in control,because Mr.Carter didn't have time for the Complex, and an interesting fact that I learned it was named the Richardson Complex after a man namedDr. Donald Ronald Richardson who first discovered mutants in 1907. Who experimented on mutants,but Mr.Carter lied and said that Dr.Donald Richardson helped the mutants. Now Mr.Maddox thinks the mutants should be used for military purposes ,but Jimmy Carter disagrees because 40% of the mutants are children and that could be a problem. So I have to help all the mutants here I can feel there suffering ,and pain, and I hate it I hate that they feel that way.

I also hate that each of mutants here have been treated like we are not human at all !!! But we are human , and we deserve basic human rights!! I'm just so angry with all this after all that I have seen happen to the other mutants , and I don't want it to happen to any one ever again. The worst treatment I have seen done to a mutant here was a girl named Tara.

She came here when she was 14 ,and now she is 23. Her mutation is that she can make her hand work ridiculously fast. She given up all hope she just subjected to her self to the thought that she is going to die here ,and live a terrible tourtered life here. She believes thats hopeing is hurting her ,because nothing good happens from it. All hope does for her is disappoint her. I don't know how I should try to help.

I lay in my bed in the darkness thinking about how I can change things ,and the only way I could change things if I make a escape plan.
