Chapter 14: To See Him for the Frist Time

After we freed our first 3 prisoners we heard the sound of guards coming down the hallway.

"We have to leave." I hear August's voice say to me in my head, but there is one boy that I know I have to free, and
that is Luke. I have to help him. I know he isn't a bad kid. He's just lost ,and broken right now.

"August you get the other's out of here there's someone I have to get." I say ,and somehow he understands me ,and he shakes his head yes ,and leads the group away. I don't know where Luke is though, so as I go to the next door ,and I send out a signal to the person in the person in that room, and it's Luke. I open the door ,and I see him , for the very first time laying on the bed.

"Luke." I say ,and he looks at me with his chocolate brown eyes.

"Who are you?" he asks.

"I'm Sam." I reply "I came here to get you out of here." then he gets out of the bed ,and walks towards me.

"Come on let's go." he says, and we leave the room. Then we run down the hallway as we hear guards rapidly approaching. Now you might be wondering how me ,and my brother know how to get out of here. Well I just remembered the way from when I was brought from my cell. See even though I was blindfolded.

I went into the guard who was taking me there brain,and saw though his eyes. Then as me ,and Luke were running through the hallways he suddenly stopped.

"What are you doing Luke?" I ask,but he just stood there hold his middle and index finger to the side of his forehead. Just starring into blank space.
Then I began to hear guards running down the hallway, and knew what I had to do.

Getting Luke's attention would not work, so I would just have to use my mutation to make sure the guards didn't see us. The only problem is I have never done it before. So when the guards came by us in the hallway,and as fear ,and urgency filled me I focused almost all of my energy on making sure they didn't see us,and the just ran right past us, and relief filled my soul.
