I was getting ready to meet up with Meredith, and I get a knock at the door. I open the door and was met with April.

Savannah: April! What're you doing here?

April: can we talk?

Savannah: sure. I-I only have a few minutes, though. I'm meeting with Meredith in the park with the kids.

I lead April into the house and we sit on the couch.

Savannah: what's up?

April: did I do the right thing? Taking the interim Chief of General job? I don't know if I did the right thing. And everyone is making me feel like crap for taking it.

Savannah: honestly, I would be thrilled for you under different circumstances, because you deserve to be a department head. But you got it by betraying Webber and the rest of us. That's not cool, April. Mer and I got suspended for standing up for Webber, who made us the surgeons we are today. And you took one of our jobs. Don't get too comfortable with this job, April, because you gained this job because you betrayed a friend.

April: you agree with them.

Savannah: let me ask you this. If it were my job that was up for grabs, would you have taken it?

April goes silent, causing me to scoff.

Savannah: wow. And to think you're supposed to be my best friend. You can show yourself out. I have to check on my daughter.

I walk off to Cathy's room.

Savannah: you ready to go, sweetheart? Shawn is in the stroller and we're just waiting on you, princess.

Cathy: I'm ready!

Savannah: alright, let's go. Zola and Bailey are very excited to see you.

Cathy grabs my hand then once I had the stroller, we make our way to the park. When we get there, I see Zola and Bailey running around on the playground while Meredith was on the bench holding Ellis.

Savannah: okay, Cathy, go play with Zola and Bailey. Mommy will be with auntie Meredith.

Cathy: okay, mommy!

Cathy runs off and I walk over to Meredith.

Savannah: hey, suspension twin.

Meredith chuckles at me as I sit down next to her.

Meredith: hey.

Savannah: hello, miss Ellis! She gets cuter every time I see her.

Meredith: she sure does. Hey, Shawn! He is such a handsome little man.

Savannah: he sure is, just like his daddy.

Meredith: how's Cathy liking all the mommy-daughter time at home?

Savannah: she loves it. I've spent my days playing dress up and colouring. It keeps me from going stir crazy. The only thing keeping me going is the residents calling me for advice. Not Minnick, not Bailey. Me.

Meredith: Maggie told me that Bailey offered you your job back. Why aren't you back there?

Savannah: you and I were suspended for the same reason, Mer. The only reason why she is allowing me to come back is because my mother is Catherine Avery. I'll do my time until Bailey gets on her knees and begs.

Meredith: you have to go back. The hospital needs you. The interns, the residents, the Attendings. Hell, your ER is going to burn to the ground if you don't get back soon. And I need you to make sure Kepner doesn't kill my patients.

Savannah: you need me to be your eyes and ears?

Meredith: yes.

I let out a sigh.
