Rui-Jane came walking into the room.

You and her decided to go wonder in one of the many abandoned buildings on Copper-9, wanting to rummage and explore in the dusty cabinets, look through files and old suitcases. Many things were covered in a thin sheet of dust, making you sneeze and wipe your nose.

You looked at the bundle in your fellow humans arms, it was sleeping.."Is that what I think it is?..." you whispered in wonderment, looking at rhe toddler in Rui-Jane's arms. The little boy was wrapped in blankets and snoring quietly. His skin was a light brown, and on his head a mess of brown hair.

Rui-Jane had a enormous smile on her face, looking at you with joy in her orange eyes, "It is..isn't he just the cutest little thing? I..I found them in a building,"

"Them?" You asked. Them would imply...more than one child.

"Yes, them." Rui-Jane affirmed, holding up a hand. Her hand was wrapped around a handle, a plastic handle helping her hold a baby basket securely. A baby!

Your lips parted seeing the baby girl, wrapped into a secure bundle of warm, pink shaded blankets.

Her skin was a light color, a head of thin black hair. You took the basket from Rui-Jane, who was emitting a aura of intese joy and panic at once. Her feelings turned to your own, and next thing you knew, you were cradling the baby girl in your arms carefully.

You looked down at the baby bundle in your arms, running a finger over her cubby, red hued cheeks with admiration. Attachment...a attachment has already been formed here. You could tell by the over bearing tingle going through your body, a urge to protect the baby was sparked so suddenly in you.

You looked over at Rui-Jane who had the warmest of smiles on her face. You could tell, she already had a attachment formed with the little boy.

Rui-Jane and you made eye contact, and with no words exchanged, you both made the agreement that you both would keep the child in your grasp.

"So what are you naming this cute little baby?" Rui-Jane baby talked, looking at the sleeping baby in your arms fondly. The brown haired boy had quickly bonded with her once he woke up, and was clutching on her tightly as she held him.

"I decided to name her- drum roll please..."

"Solette."

"That name sounds...awfully familiar. I think I've read it in a book!" Rui-Jane approved of the name, nodding at the cute name. Solette...what a odd yet interesting name

"Ooh, and there's the mom to be up there.." Rui-Jane grimaced, looking up. At the mention of your girlfriend you also looked up, seeing your lovely V...tearing apart a worker drone. But oh well.

"V! V! Your amazing partner has something to show youuu!~"

Rui-Jane said loudly. Thankfully, Solette was already awake. V 'huh'ed, looking down from her spot above. From her spot on the corpse wall, she could see you holding something, and zoomed in, seeing the blank-faced baby looking up at you.

V dropped down after smushing the worker drone corpse into the wall, landing in front of you and placing her hands on her hips.

"What's the package?" She asked, nodding at Solette. "Ba, ba, ba, baaa-" Solette babbled, her hand gripping onto a lock of your hair/the collar of your shirt and pulling. "Yeah uh, I'd love to stay and chat, but this little guy needs to sleep. See ya!" Rui-Jane waved goodbye and walked off with James, her new son, held at her hip.
