Rui-Jane came walking into the room.

You and her decided to go wonder in one of the many abandoned buildings on Copper-9, wanting to rummage and explore in the dusty cabinets, look through files and old suitcases. Many things were covered in a thin sheet of dust, making you sneeze and wipe your nose.

You looked at the bundle in your fellow humans arms, it was sleeping.."Is that what I think it is?..." you whispered in wonderment, looking at rhe toddler in Rui-Jane's arms. The little boy was wrapped in blankets and snoring quietly. His skin was a light brown, and on his head a mess of brown hair.

Rui-Jane had a enormous smile on her face, looking at you with joy in her orange eyes, "It is..isn't he just the cutest little thing? I..I found them in a building,"

"Them?" You asked. Them would imply...more than one child.

"Yes, them." Rui-Jane affirmed, holding up a hand. Her hand was wrapped around a handle, a plastic handle helping her hold a baby basket securely. A baby!

Your lips parted seeing the baby girl, wrapped into a secure bundle of warm, pink shaded blankets.

Her skin was a light color, a head of thin black hair. You took the basket from Rui-Jane, who was emitting a aura of intese joy and panic at once. Her feelings turned to your own, and next thing you knew, you were cradling the baby girl in your arms carefully.

You looked down at the baby bundle in your arms, running a finger over her cubby, red hued cheeks with admiration. Attachment...a attachment has already been formed here. You could tell by the over bearing tingle going through your body, a urge to protect the baby was sparked so suddenly in you.

You looked over at Rui-Jane who had the warmest of smiles on her face. You could tell, she already had a attachment formed with the little boy.

Rui-Jane and you made eye contact, and with no words exchanged, you both made the agreement that you both would keep the child in your grasp.

"So what are you naming this cute little baby?" Rui-Jane baby talked, looking at the sleeping baby in your arms fondly. The brown haired boy had quickly bonded with her once he woke up, and was clutching on her tightly as she held him.

"I decided to name her- drum roll please..."

"Solette."

"That name sounds...awfully familiar. I think I've read it in a book!" Rui-Jane approved of the name, nodding at the cute name. Solette...what a odd yet interesting name

"Oh and were already here! Hey V, is N in the pod?" Rui-Jane asked V, who was perched on the corpse wall of the tower, looking at parts of old worker drones.

"Yep, he's in there."

"Aww, she's adorable!"

You showed N how to properly hold a baby, and now, little Solette was in his arms. You liked his puppy like enthusiasm, "She is, but make sure to be quieter, babies sleep is important."

"Oh, my bad. Sorry, mom/dad/new parent." N said, wiggling his eyebrows at you.

You smiled at N, a bit sheepish, "So you already figured that out, huh?" N laughed quietly, still holding Solette carefully. "Of course I did! I can tell you already have a attachment to her."

"Does that bother you? You don't have have take on any responsibilities, it was my choice to take her in so-"

N gasped loudly, but immediately her pressed his lips together, wishing her could take that action back. Solette woke up, her cries built up in volume quickly and N panicked, urging you to take the child back.

"I didn't mean to! Take it back!" He panicked. You laughed at his reaction and took Solette from N. And out of no where, you pulled out a bottle and placed it at the babies mouth, immediately she latched on and began suckling.

(Its parent logic, you're one of those mfs now- pulling out random shit when you need it 💀)

"N, it's not a it. She's a baby. And her name is Solette."

You informed N, matter of factly. The way you so naturally calmed Solette down- N was admiring it. He also admired how adorable baby humans were! Who could just leave two adorable little things out there alone like that? He wondered.

"Solette? What a cute name! Little Solette." N exhaled, his panic passed and he was calm now.

"Coming back to what you said, I'll gladly help you take care of Solette! I wouldn't want you to care for her alone." N walked behind you and put his hands on your shoulders, looking down at Solette with a big smile.

"Heh! Becoming a dad definitely isn't something I saw coming!"

○ Headcannon time :D

- Bro..N wants to have a word with whoever left his adorable daughter out in the cold.

- SHE IS ADORABLE- HIS PRIDE AND JOY- HIS LITTLE BISCUIT

- Yes, N calls her his little biscuit, and as a result, as she gets older she responds to 'Biscuit' more than her name (Solette does grow out of that phase and responds to both in the future)

- N does freak out because of the crying, feeling guilty and panicked, trying to figure out what he did wrong

- But once you explain that human babies just always cry, and that it's what they do, he is calmer about it and goes to you for help

- He is surprisingly a trooper when it comes to diapers. Not at first, of course, but after the third he did it for you often.

- He loves feeding her! He loves how her big brown eyes look up at him and it makes him squeal

- Takes her out flying, he loves seeing her big gummy smile

- N is kind of irresponsible, he doesn't understand just how fragile babies are at first.

- He took her with him while hunting worker drones, flying like I said, throws her in the air to make her giggle

- You have to be serious when you tell him about how easy it is for babies to be hurt- he'll feel bad and apologize, and makes sure to not do anything endangering anymore!

- Shows Solette off to Uzi, V, J and Tessa for sure

- J and Tessa kind of steal Solette away- they just love her. It's been so long since Tessa has seen a baby.

"You won't be useless like your daddy right? No you won't, no you won't!" J baby talked, holding Solette's small hands in her own and peppering kisses on her face.

"Aw, cmon J. Give the guy a break." Tessa says, giving Solette a few little tickles on her baby feet. When she giggles and does a gummy smile, J awed and gave her some more kisses.

- N LOVES watching Solette ruin Uzi's murder plans-

"All of my plans, right here- ARGHHH, SOLETTE, NOO!"

Uzi screeched, quickly picking up Solette off of her desktop- Solette slobbered all over her papers...

- Sorry not sorry yall- Solette's first word is 100% daddy! :D

- Solette is definitely a daddies girl. (If you're also a dude than you take the title Dada)

- N give her kisses a lot. Butterfly kisses!

- they make her giggle- he loves hearing his little girl laugh!

- N will always be happy you found Solette! She's his little biscuit and couldn't imagine life without you or her in his life!
