This is more of a oneshot-scenario I think?

Anyways- uh, yeah, for this let's say the air isn't toxic on Copper-9, sorry this took a whole fucking month 😭

I think the reader being Brazilian would be too specific, so I didn't add that.

But here's what my brain shat out, schnookums 🥰

What was that? Oh yeah, just a fucking murder drone.

A whole murder drone, mercilessly taking down a whole group of worker drones.

The death of these worker drones in particular, was a true loss for Y/n. The friendly group were carefully traveling from one colony, to another. They hadent been caught by a single murder drone yet! The worker drones found the mother and child hiding out in a old building. They could hear the baby crying- that's that's led the drones to find the two humans.

Because they were so kind, they offered to bring the mother and child to the colony they were heading to. Apparently there was someone who could help out the mom and her baby.

But one problem...baby cries are horrifically loud.

The group was nearly to the colony, but the baby cries is what led our darling V to find them all. Out of Panic, Y/n ran away after seeing how easy it was for V to just rip and tear the group to nothing but lifeless, metal pieces of a body.

But..Y/n ran the wrong way..

"Oh no, oh no.." Y/n muttered to herself. Im her arms, a wailing baby was cradled. The poor mother felt exhausted- and this Panic didn't help anything. She wondered what that drone was back there- she only assumed it was a drone, as it had some similar feature the worker drones did. But what was that drone specifically??

No clue, but Y/n didn't want to stick around and never find out.

So, she ran. Quick, just not too much. She didn't want the baby in her arms to be..shooken.

But the worker drones didn't exactly say how to get to this colony. Just hushed questions about the baby, some even asked to hold the little boy. But that was it. No directions.

She paused, not too abruptly that it would upset her fussy baby any further. She pat the baby on his back, cooing in a quiet tone. She didn't want the same thing to happen- cries to draw in the attention of the dangerous drones or any others.

"Oh gosh, I don't know where the colony is! I don't know how to get there, and that damn thing might be close behind!" Y/n felt even worse. Guilty, tired, panicked, confused, and upset.

"If we stay out here any longer, he's gonna get too cold and.." Y/n shook her head.

"No, I'm sure I can find another building-"

"No need for a building."

Right after Y/n ran away...cause I think just saying "earlier" would be confusing 😕...

V grabbed a worker drone by the collar of its snow jacket, the sharpness of the blades her finger were currently replaced with dug right into the poor guys body with almost no resistance.

His head was popped off, oil sprayed and spewed from the lack of head. (Tee hee that's a silly way to end the sentace. Imma keep that.)

In her peripheral vision, V caught a glimpse of a fleeting figure. H/c whipped as this person turned around and fled the scene without another second to waste. No hesitation. How funny, V thought.

V left about two bodies with oil in them. She knew N would probably check around here and find them later. She was feeling generous...more like she needed to catch that final little worker pest who got away.

But now that V thinks, she realized that there was no baby here- she heard a baby cry. There wasn't a baby worker drone here, so this worker drone must have fled for their child's sake.

"Ah, I see." V giggled to herself, soaring above the trees. It didn't take long to hear that skull splitting wail once again. The same baby cry that led her to that little feast.

She swooped down, landing a decent amount of space back, so that the worker drone would not know they'd already been found.

V slowly stalked apon, what she assumed to be, the mother. She could hear the crying.

"If we stay out here any longer, he'll get too cold and.." V watched the worker shake their head, hair swaying with their panicky movement. (Ignore if you're bald, stinkaboo.) That confused V, why would a drone need to worry about the cold? Eh, whatever..

"No, I'm sure I can find another building-"

"No need for a building." V giggled out, making it clear of her position behind the H/c worker.

The murder drone watched their target tense up, only for a split second before they turned around and stared back withwide eyes.

Present-

V froze.

That is NOT a digital facial visor. That's not a metal exterior.

That's flesh. Only humans have flesh-

"And how the hell is a human alive out here?" V openly asked, looking Y/n straight in the eyes. The high pitched wailing seemed to be easily ignored by the murder drone. She obviously was used to hearing screams.

"You're not killing me??" Y/n sputtered out, holding hand over the back of her little bundle of joys head. "Duh. I intake oil, not blood." V stated with a slight eye roll. "I gain nothing by killing a human."

The human let out a sigh of relief. Though the cries of her child never ceased, and that caught V's attention once again. She pointed at the wailing bundle in Y/n's arms, "And you're right. Any longer and your little bundle of joy won't be able to handle it."

The mother was already distressed. V didn't need any words from the woman to confirm that and rest a hand on her hip, the other on her chest, "Luckily for you, I'm feeling nice today. There's a pod I can take you guys to. I'll carry you both."

The frown on Y/n's face deepened a bit. But she remained silent. V just wondered what the girl would find displeasure with, and decided to ask. "Was there something wrong with that plan?"

"N-no, I'm fine. Can we hurry though?"

V took casual steps closer, extending her arms towards the mother who apon seeing the murder drones touch nearing her, grimaced.

But oh well, the girl thought to herself.

It would be a bit of comfort, then they'd both be in a better environment.

.

You were incredibly uncomfortable.

So when V finally was done flying and holding you like a new bride- you felt relieved. You supposed your baby just needed some room, once you were in the pod and it was warm (somehow), and unwrapped the little guy, he went out like a light.

V let you have the spinny chair, and she sat on the tables flat surface, her legs dangling off besides you.

"Soo..coming back to the earlier question, how exactly are you and your kid alive out here?" V questioned, raising a virtual brow.

"Author doesn't know."

"Huh?"

"I said I don't remember."

"Okayyy.."
