Witchesand Rituals

It is a wonderful day today, bright and sunny after a good downpour last night. It was perfect for gathering some ingredients, some of which that only come out in damp or moist conditions. After putting on my shoes, I grabbed my broom and basket then headed out to gather ingredients. It was slightly damp but it wasn't overly slippery, I was halfway through the forest when I found some glowing healing mushrooms.

"Aha rare find, ah over there is some fresh lavender!" I squealed before I went into a gathering frenzy.

I have been in the forest for hours and was about to head back when I heard a pained moaning coming from somewhere. Picking up the basket and broom I walked towards the noise, along the way I noticed some rare flowers blooming. I picked a few as I walked towards the pained noises.

After a few minutes I found the source of the sounds, in a tangles mess of vines, branches, webs and mud was the head and hands of a Unseelie. I tried to approach him but he blocked me with a curtain of thorny vines, a sign he was scared and territorial.

I knew what to do, I put my basket down and retrieved a pink flower of any variety a petal of a sunflower, a sprig of mint, three glowing mushrooms and a red rose and placed them in front of me before I spoke.

"My Fae friend, please accept these gifts as a sign of trust and friendship. I mean no ill will"

The vines opened enough for him to see my offering, his large black eyes seemed to twinkle at the offering then looked at me. We stared at each other for a few minutes before he retracted the vines, I stood up and slowly approached him.

"I am going to cut the vines and branches to free you, I promise I won't hurt you do you understand?" I asked

"Yes, I understand. Please be careful my legs are sore" he sighed.

I nodded and began to untangle him, I started to cut the vines most of them were from Weeping Willows but others were from other sources. One of them was toxic to humans, I put on my gloves and removed it from his body.

After two grueling hours I had removed the vines, branches leaves and most of the mud. The only thing that was remaining was the sap that had caused this mess.

"There is a hot spring that Fae tend to use just over that hill. I cannot enter but you can go and get cleaned up. I need to process all of this" I smiled.

He stood up and stretched before walking away from me, "Please leave my offerings be" he said softly.

"Of course" I said

I began to tidy up the debris, I put them into a large basket I had to clean contaminated forest matter, I did this so the environment would not be harmed. After they were in the basket I poured some lake water onto them and performed the spell of cleansing, I could smell that they were now clean. I put the contents at the base of a tree so the forest animals could use them if they needed them.

"Did you clean them?" I heard a familiar voice ask.

I turned to see the Unseelie and nodded.

The Unseelie is tall almost six foot tall, his skin is pale with a grey tint, his eyes are almost completely black with a trace of brown, his hair is long and has a silver/white colour, across is body apart from his hands face and feet are various sizes of thorns which can change in sharpness depending on their moods.
