"Did you miss me, doll?"
You would've screamed in fright if it weren't for those words. That oh so familiar nickname instantly set your heart racing and you couldn't help but to turn your head quickly. Your face is inches away from the Ghost Face mask yet you aren't scared.
"Danny?" Your voice comes out in a whisper as you reach forward, gently pulling his mask off to allow you to see his face.
"Hello, doll." He smiles, the sight making your heart flutter.
"You're alive." The mask is mindlessly discarded as you place your hands on his cheeks in disbelief. "You're really here."
Danny chuckles, placing his hand over yours on his cheek. "I'm here, doll. I ain't goin' anywhere."
Tears begin to flow down your cheeks in relief. You were terrified that your boys were all dead but seeing Danny gives you hope. You can't help but to hug him, kneeling on the couch in order to do so. His arms wrap around you in return and you swear you can hear him sniffling as he buries his face into your neck.
The touching reunion is short lived as you're suddenly yanked away from Danny. A yelp leaves your lips as you're lifted into a pair of strong arms effortlessly. You're still facing Danny so you're unable to see who is holding you leaving you confused. Danny simply looks annoyed that his hug with you was interrupted.
"Mikey! Put her down, man!" Danny demands, not really liking the sight of you being held by someone else.
Michael simply grunts in refusal, his hold on you tightening slightly in possessiveness. He's not one for any form of physical touch outside of killing yet he's been finding himself wanting to be near you. Ever since that day shortly before you were fired where you hugged him he's been craving it ever since. It's been an extremely long time since someone last showed him affection and that was his own mother. He never really thought he'd want it let alone receive it from anyone else.
You chuckle, finding the situation to be quite amusing while Danny continues to argue with Michael, trying to convince him to let you go. "Let her go! We have to take her to the others!"
"The others made it out, too?" You question in relief.
"Of course, doll." Danny smirks as he finally manages to get Michael to release you. "A little fire isn't enough to take us out."
You grow excited at the thought of seeing the others. Seeing Danny gave you hope that they all made it out of the fire and having it confirmed makes you feel extremely happy and thankful. The fear of their deaths stuck to you ever since the news first mentioned the Sanitarium burning down.
"Are they here?" You move towards one of the windows, looking out of it in attempts to spot your boys.
"Calm down, doll." Danny gently pulls you away from the window before pushing you to sit down on the couch. You pout slightly, not wanting to wait any longer to see the others. Danny chuckles at the sight of your pouty lips and it honestly takes all of his willpower not to bend over and kiss you right then and there.
Michael, seemingly sensing the other mans thoughts sets a heavy hand on his shoulder with a tight grip. Danny waves him off with a roll of his eyes. "The others can't really come in here without being noticed by your neighbors. The only reason Mikey and I were able to is because we're the best at sneaking around unseen and unheard."
"Then can we go to where they are?"
"We will soon, doll, but you gotta pack first." Danny walks away to begin looking through the different rooms of the house likely searching for your bedroom.
"Huh?" You stand up, following after him as he walks into your bedroom where he instantly moves to dig through the dresser. "Why do I need to pack?"
"You want to be with us, right?" Danny begins tossing clothes out onto the bed and your cheeks burn slightly when he gets to your underwear drawer.
"Well, yeah, of course I do." You quickly snatch a pair of your underwear out of his hands before pushing him away.
He steps away with his arms raised and a smirk on his face. "If you want to be with us, then you're going to have to go into hiding. A bunch of killers can't really hang out around society where we can be discovered easily."
"I guess you have a point." You sigh a bit dejectedly before perking up slightly. "Have you guys found a place yet?"
"Not exactly." Danny shrugs. "We were more focused on finding you first."
"Well..." You go to your closet to grab your bags, placing them on your bed so you can begin packing up everything important. "I have a place that's pretty far away from society. It's a few hours away from here, though."
"How far from society?" Danny questions as he leaves the packing to you, instead taking his chance to snoop through your things. A small smile curves his lips as he opens the drawer in the nightstand next to your bed where he finds the photos he took of the both of you together that he gave you.
You hum as you try to remember the exact details. "I'm pretty sure it's in the middle of the woods. If I'm remembering correctly then it's roughly an hour drive away from the nearest town."
"Sounds pretty secluded." Danny agrees as he hands over the photos for you to safely pack away. "I'm sure the doc will agree that it's a good place to lay low."
"Let's hope so since it's our only real option."
