After dinner is over, and I am sitting in the living room. I quite enjoy the living room, it's beautiful on the train. There is a large blue sofa in the middle of the room, there are decking armchairs surrounding it entirely. The cotton feeling is beneath my fingertips as the dark blue grasping wallpaper takes my breath away. The burning log fire I would be lucky to have back in my home district makes me upset. I long for something like this at home. still, it isn't all sunshine and rainbows.
"Good evening." I hear Elodie speak to me, I am sitting in the living room and reading one of the many books that arch across the wall. "Those are very old books. Before Panem was created"
"This was in called...The Great Gatsby. It's actually really interesting. New York City, 1920's. whatever the hell New York City is." I explain to Elodie, tossing the book onto the coffee table. she smiles at me gently before grabbing the remote from the wooden coffee table and turning on the TV.
"I think Saron is in his bedroom. but I wanted to show you the other tributes." Elodie explains to me, standing next to the roaring fire as it's dimly lit crackles burn. I cross my legs on the couch.
"Why?"
"So you know what to expect. I'm here to help you, remember?" Elodie squeaks. I'm taken aback and I have no idea what to say, I thought this bitch hated me.
"I didn't think you liked me all that much." I answer her, much to a raised eyebrow from Elodie.
"Nonsense" She waves a delicate hand and then begins to turn on the television, showing the other reaping. "Want to see them?"
"Go on. tell me everything you know about them."
The First was District One. Volunteers (no surprises there). Some kid was picked and this broad shouldered hunk of a man stepped forward out of the crowd and volunteered himself willingly. His name was Apollo. His confidence, his charm, his annoying face made me sick. The girl was called Melody, she had soft silky blonde hair with natural good looks. Also a true born fighter, from the looks of her.
District 2, also born fighters. He looked like he would win, the male tribute. His name was Brax and just like Apollo, he was also as menacing. His hair was a lot darker than anyone else in the crowd. A jet black colour and his eyes were jet black too. he would instantly be the Capitol's favourite. The girl, on the other hand, was the same height but just as menacing. Her name was Xella.
District 3 were nothing like the previous District's. they were intelligent but timid. They both looked terrified of everything. Their names were Wilk and Martzy. Both looked exactly the same: pure white skin, dark brown hair, timid looks on their faces, and the abject terror just seeping into their skin.
I didn't watch my own video, purely because I could see Annie standing there with the abject terror when the camera would zoom in on her. After two times, Elodie stopped pushing with me and she just moved onto District 5.
