Mateo Delacruz
I look at the ring, hugging around my ring finger perfectly.
The day Enzo proposed me still being so fresh in my head. How could I forget it?
It was perfect. I could give everything to live that moment again, to feel those absolutely chilling emotions again.
A smile grows on my face as I rotate the finger, the day when I'll be able his husband tugging on my heart as it swells.
"Are you sure you want to cancel the next meeting?" My assistant asks as she stands in front of the table with files in her hand that she collected from my table. "Yeah." A hundred and ten percent but I leave those words unsaid. She nods before walking out of my office. When she leaves, I turn and grab my phone.
'I'm so tired :('
I read the text again and again even though I have memorized it by now. Reading it every second since I received it, ten minutes ago.
Even if Enzo was busy with the new launch of his business, he would still find the time to text me even if it was about how he was feeling or how he was missing me. Sometimes, he would even call me for five minutes just to tell me what he had in the breakfast or how he was not liking the weather.
And then sometimes, he would completely go silent just to hear me speak, not even interrupting me with 'hm' or 'oh'
With this text, I could not help but visit my fiancé.
God, my freaking fiancé.
I press my lips to hide the smile that comes on my face whenever I call Enzo my fiancé.
I don't remember how long it took me to drive from my office to this new modeling agency he had bought recently. "Mr. Delacruz." One of the paparazzi calls my name when I walk into the building, ignoring the chaos that waited for him outside.
I know what Enzo was doing risky but it wasn't wrong. I support him for everything he's doing, even it's a request from his friend.
Who would've guessed that Enzo and Diego, the freaking racer that girls swoon over could be friends. But their personalities match, so absolutely they were going to get along well.
"Oh, Mr. Delacruz." Maria smiles as soon as she spots me and rushes to me. "Mr. Marcelo is going to be thrilled to see you here." She grins and I just smile at her, ignoring the butterflies in my stomach. She is one of those people who have supported our relationship and even set up some of our dates in the best possible way.
I take my shades off, hanging it in the pocket of my black jacket before looking at the entrance. "They are still here?" I ask, unable to hide my annoyance. Maria follows my gaze before sighing and shaking her head. "They just want any piece of information and twist it against the poor guy." She shows her disappointment by shaking her head again.
I nod and notice the logo that was carved on the wall right behind her. The words painted in dark green still twisting my heart as the day he informed me what color he wanted to keep the logo.
"I want it like your eyes. I want to surround myself with that gorgeous shade that brings life within me." He had said with his nose stuck in the files as he went through the documents. "Have you even decided the name yet?" I had asked him, trying to change the topic because the way it had affected me was not even a joke. I felt my heart bursting as the heat rushed through my body.
"No, but I'm working on it too and I think I will soon have it." He looked up from the papers, passing me his gorgeous smile.
"I will take you to him." Maria brings me back from the flashback and I tear my gaze from the wall to look at her. "Thank you."
