Ricky's POV
Today is Friday. I don't have any classes, so this morning, I'm going to visit my mom before heading back to Salt Lake to pick up my girlfriend from school. This was my first time to my mom's new house. I wonder what it's like. I wonder how she's been doing all alone here.
That is if she is all alone.
I drive for about forty five minutes, traffic getting in the way. Between students, people who work in Park City, and tourists, it takes a little longer than expected.
Then I reach the house. It was a cute ranch style home in a woodsy area of Park City.
I knock on the door, then opening it. It was BLUEtiful. Yes, bluetiful.
"Ricky! I'm so glad you're here! Let me show you around!" My mom grins, taking me into a hug.
"Hi, Mama. This place is wonderful."
"It's very nice. Everything's blue!" She grins. That was her favorite color.
First she takes me to the dining room and kitchen, then to the small sitting area.
"Uhh...Mom?"
"Hmm?"
"What's the baby chair in here for?"
"Oh, Richard. I'm planning ahead. I won't surprised if I get some grand babies in here sooner or later." I blush, looking down. "Don't be embarrassed, Ricky. Now, come!"
She brings me to my room next. It has a bed, and then a bunk bed as well. But rather than a bed being on the lower bunk, it's just a disconnected couch.
"Why two, almost three, beds?" I ask, chuckling.
"For when others guests come at the same time. Or when Gina does, and I decided you two would be better in separate beds."
"Ugh, Mom!"
She shows me the bathroom next, and then lastly her blue bedroom.
