"Garam, right? Yeah, do you even know what our band is named after?" Minho questioned with a bored look as he looked through the guitarist's resume papers. He knew he was making the guy nervous but he could care less. He never agreed to get a replacement guitarist. No one could be as good as Jisung was.

"Uhh," the guy voiced and tried to hide his shaky hands behind his back. "You call yourself Forget Me Not because you're telling your fans to never forget you-" Minho cut him off by lifting his hand up.

"That's not what I asked. How could you come here, trying to be a part of the band if you don't even know the origin of our band name?" His bandmate, Chan, nudged his arm. It was his way of telling him to be nice but he ignored it and continued with his criticism towards the boy on stage.

"You're unprepared. Now listen carefully, Garam. Forget Me Not is named after a flower. It represents remembrance. According to a medieval legend, a knight walked along a river with his lady. He bent down to fetch her a pretty little blue flower, the same as our band logo, but his heavy armor made him lose his balance and he fell into the current. Before sinking forever, he threw the flower to his lady, shouting, 'Forget me not!'". Minho sighed as he looked at the guy in slight disappointment.

"Can you connect the dots or should I do that for you, Garam?" he asked and closed the guy's resume, already making a decision. When the guy stayed silent, Minho placed his palms flat on the table and slowly stood up, frightening the guy even more.

"Our band is the knight and our fandom, Memory, is the lady. Our songs are that flower. We are giving them flowers so they won't forget us. Even if we're gone years and years later."

A pause.

"Forget us not. Forget me not," he added.

Garam shifted from one leg to another, not knowing what he should do or say. Minho noticed it and motioned his head towards the exit. "Go," he simply said, not bothering to add anything else as he began packing his stuff to his bag.

"So, I didn't get in-"

"You didn't. Now go," Minho replied without even looking at him. He heard rushing footsteps that faded in a minute and then he let himself slouch back in his seat, exhaustion washing over him like a whip.

Minho felt a hand on his shoulder. He opened his eyes to be facing an annoyed yet concerned leader, Chan. Behind him stood Jeongin, their youngest band member, who was quietly playing one of their newest songs on his bass guitar.

"He was the last one," Chan said and sat beside Minho.

"Good," Minho replied and couldn't help but smirk in victory. That was his whole plan. Rejecting every single one of them until there was no other choice but to invite him.

"We need a guitarist, Minho. Our World Tour starts in a month. If we don't find one soon enough, everything will crash down."

"Then bring Jisung back," Minho said while focusing on a spot on the ground. It caused the leader to freeze in his place for a good moment until a sigh he released made his muscles relax.

"You know we can't do that. He left-"

"I don't care," Minho cut him off and finally turned his head to look at him. The leader's eyes showed pity and he hated that. Pity. He already got enough of that for the past few months.

"You really thought those fresh out of music school newbies would be able to get in? No guitarist will be able to replace him, Chan. You know that. So, call him and offer double the payment. Maybe that will change his stubborn mind."

Chan's face twisted in confusion. He turned to his left and placed his foot on the seat to face Minho.

"What do you mean? We all split it equally. Where would he get more money from?"

"Split mine. Give half of it to him." Minho didn't know what he was doing, truthfully, but he trusted his gut feeling. He was certain it was the right thing to do.

"Minho."

"No. Just do it. Either he plays or we'll perform without a guitarist." And with that he left the building, wondering what he just did.
