Jisung's heart was wounded and freezing.

From the moment he woke up to the moment he was backstage in the arena, he felt like something was wrong.

Not in a bad way.

In a sad way.

And for some reason his mind kept coming back to the glowing star stickers on his room's ceiling. He brushed it off for as long as he could but it kept coming back, stalking his mind.

"Jisung, your make-up's done. Up, up," someone said and patted him on the upper arms. The boy stood up with a small head bow to the makeup stylist and went towards the couch where their stuff was placed.

He plopped down on the couch and harshly breathed in when a shot of pain went through his muscles.

I already had an injection. Why isn't it working?

"Yo, Jisung!" Jeongin called from the other side of the room over a bunch of working people. He waved at him to catch his attention and ran up to Jisung. He bent down to catch his breath, Jisung assumed he ran here

"Chan said you should take it easy today."

Jisung was ready to protest but Jeongin noticed and put his finger on his lips to shush him. Jisung looked down at a finger on his lips and brushed it away.

"I won't be sitting," Jisung stated.

The younger nodded and stood up straight. "Right, but you shouldn't jump or run around. Just stay calm, okay? We know you're still in pain." He gave Jisung a sympathetic look, with a quick spin he walked back from wherever he came from.

Jisung sighed and lowered his head but a sudden thought came to his mind. Subtly, he looked around and when he made sure no one was close enough or someone familiar around he went to his bag.

Chan had handed him one injection in case he had an emergency but no more than that, not trusting the younger not to be careless.

And he was right to do so.

I want to have fun out there, run and jump, play around. I want it so my mind would forget my heart is acting weird. I want to forget it.

Jisung, with trembling hands, took out an injection from his bag. Rolling his sleeves up to jab it in his skin again but faltering.

I need my arms for playing. Last time it hurt and didn't go away until after an hour. So maybe another place would....

He looked down at his outfit and smiled at the clear patch of skin his pants were showing. Silently thanking the designers this comeback, he smoothed his skin to calm his nerves and jabbed the injection in his left thigh. He was a bit surprised it didn't hurt like last time. Only a little uncomfortable.

Just when he pulled the injection away from his skin he got harshly turned around by his shoulder to be faced with Minho.

Was he angry or...worried? What.

"Are you out of your-Why would you do that?!" Minho asked, looking quite panicked at the younger's actions.

Jisung simply shrugged and looked around for a trash bin to get rid of the injection in his hand. His eyes noticed one but his body didn't move. Minho held his shoulder still.

"What?" Jisung asked, not meeting his eyes.

"You had one task. Take only one injection in a day and you still couldn't follow it." Minho sighed, in what Jisung thought was disappointment.

"Be careful next time. I know you want to do well for Memories but they will appreciate it more if you're taking care of yourself. Do you get it?"

That's not exactly why I did it, Minho...
