A knock.
"Yes? Come in," shouted Jeongin to whoever's behind the door. He sat on the bed with one leg on the floor and picked on his fingernails.
The doors opened and Chan walked in.
"I'm guessing no luck, yeah?" he asked with a tired smile. Jeongin hugged his leg and laid his chin on his knee.
The leader picked up on his upset state and with concern sat down near him. He touched his shoulder.
"Hey, talk to me."
Jeongin looked at him and saw his exhaustion, dark circles he didn't notice before. He lifted his head up and took Chan's chin with his fingers.
"Have you been sleeping enough?" Concern was obvious in his tone.
Chan gave him a look.
"Nevermind," Jeongin mumbled, knowing very well of the older's sleeping habits. He let go of his chin.
"I can't rest until Minho and Jisung get along," he stated but that totally didn't calm the youngest and Chan knew it.
He looked at Jeongin's hands and saw him picking on his fingernails again. He reached out to play with his fingers instead. The younger immediately accepted his touch, holding onto him.
"I'm always here for you, you know? Find me and talk to me whenever you're upset," Chan told Jeongin.
"I know, Channie," he said. "I knew you were there for me ever since our first fight."
Chan chuckled. "Yeah, you scared me shitless back then, Do you have any idea how hard it is to drive in the rain while it's dark, especially when I didn't know where you ran off to?"
"I know."
Chan gave him a soft slap to the arm. "No, you don't. First get a license and then talk." A giggle escaped Jeongin's lips and that gorgeous smile appeared on his face. It warmed everyone's hearts. Chan's included.
"Okay, well, a talk with Minho didn't work and I'm guessing Jisung wasn't any better. He stormed off to the bathroom right after leaving this room."
"Why aren't they talking to us?" Jeongin asked even though he knew neither of them had the answer.
"Maybe it's nothing that bad. They just need a proper talk perhaps."
"But Jisung said something...weird," Jeongin said and pressed his lips. Chan perked up and listened.
"I asked if Minho hurt him. He denied it but made it seem like he hurt someone else."
"Did he say that?"
"Well not those exact words but it's what I picked up from them." Jeongin started drawing figures on the sheets with his free hand.
"But don't take this as a fact. Maybe I heard it wrong. There's no way Minho would hurt somebody."
"Yeah, I don't believe that either," Chan said and after a small pause he pulled Jeongin into his arms, catching the younger by surprise.
"Chan, what?"
"I need friendly comfort," was all Chan said and then they both cuddled in the bed.

16 extremely long hours later the ferry finally reached the shore of Japan and with the tour bus it won't take long until they reach their assigned hotel.
It only took a bunch of Chan's energy to separate Minho and Jisung when they kept picking up arguments out of thin air.
It only took Jeongin's last nerves to keep Jisung in place and distract him from talking crap about their vocalist.
