During dinner, Katherine and Daphne listened in shock as Cassie recounted the events of the day.

"You're really living up to your mum's name, Cas," Katherine said.

"Obviously," Cassie smirked. "Greatness runs in the family."

"You must be the youngest player in about a century," Daphne remarked.

"Yep. And Harry too, of course. Can't forget my fellow history-maker."

"Did you talk to him today after everything?"

"Yeah. We talked after class and studied together in the library too."

"Hmm..." Katherine said, smirking.

"What?" Cassie asked.

"Nothing," Katherine replied, grinning playfully.

"You're an awful liar, Kate."

"And you're an awful mind reader," Katherine shot back.

Cassie rolled her eyes. "Anyway, I start training this week. Don't tell anyone."

"Did you tell Malfoy?"

"No. And I don't plan to."

"Good. Don't. Might come as a shocker for him. I'd love to see the look on his face," Katherine said.

"You'd love to see his face?" Cassie asked, grinning wickedly. She obviously understood what Katherine meant, but turnabout was fair play.

"Wh-what? What do you mean? Ew," Katherine stammered, going red.

"Mhmm... I think you turned into Quirrell there for a moment, Katherine," Daphne teased.

"Oh, shut up," Katherine muttered, stabbing at her food.

Cassie laughed at her embarrassment. Then, just as she was about to take a bite, Draco Malfoy strolled over with his usual smug expression.

"Having your last meal, eh? Which school are you transferring to? Or are you just giving up on magic altogether?"

Cassie let out an exaggerated sigh, turning to him with an unimpressed look. "Oh, Malfoy, you really need some new material. This whole 'let's spread rumors and act like a third-rate villain' thing is getting old. Even Snape's lectures are more entertaining."

His smirk faltered. "You think you're funny, don't you?"

"No, I know I am," Cassie said, standing up and shoving him back slightly. "And you should know better than to mess with me. If I wanted to, I could ruin your entire reputation in this school with one little whisper."

Leaning in closer, she whispered, "You know my uncle? The Dark Lord? We all know he'll rise again. And when he does, I highly doubt he'll be favoring a blonde ferret over his own flesh and blood. So maybe—just maybe—you should stay in your lane, Malfoy."

Draco's face paled, and Cassie smirked before turning to walk away—only to be blocked by a certain pug-faced menace.

"What is it now, Parkinson?" she drawled, already exasperated.

"You hurt Dray. My Dray. And I won't let anyone do that."

Cassie blinked at her, then burst out laughing. A few students nearby joined in, cringing at the sheer secondhand embarrassment of Pansy's words.

"Pansy, do you hear yourself? It's painful. Now, move."

"You bit—" Pansy started, but before she could finish, Draco cut in coldly.

"You finish that sentence, Parkinson, and you're never going to see daylight again."

Pansy gasped dramatically. "But Drayyy, she hurt you!"

"She's my sister, Parkinson. She can do whatever the hell she wants."

Pansy stood there, flabbergasted, before stomping away in a huff. Cassie caught Harry watching her from across the hall. When she met his gaze, he smiled. Ron, on the other hand, raised his eyebrows at her and Harry's exchange like he was solving some great mystery.

She knew exactly what he was thinking, but honestly? They were eleven. It wasn't that deep.

Draco tried to give her a winning smile, but she just rolled her eyes and strolled back to Katherine and Daphne.

"Oh, Merlin, that was so good. I love watching drama," Katherine said gleefully.

"Parkinson is going to be insufferable when we get back to our dorm," Cassie muttered.

"Don't worry," Daphne assured her gently. "She won't try anything while we're there."

Katherine scoffed. "Let her try. I dare her."

Cassie smirked, amused. "Hmm. We'll see."
