Cassie stared at the snoring three-headed dog and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"You know," she whispered, "if anyone had just killed Quirrell earlier, we wouldn't be in this situation."

"You can't just kill people, Cassie!" Hermione hissed, horified.

Cassie shrugged. "Debatable."

"Besides, I don't get why you think its Quirell." Hermione huffed, shaking her head.

"Intuition. Gut feeling. Instict." Cassie said squinting her eyes as though she was deep in thought.

Fluffy was easy. The Devil's Snare, though?

Cassie hated it.

When Hermione calmly explained they had to relax, Cassie grewled, "I don't do relaxed."

"Then you're going to die here," Hermione snapped, exasperated.

Cassie gritted her teeth. "Fine. But I hate all of you."

She forced herself to stop struggling and dropped through, gasping when she hit the stone floor.

"I swear on Merlin's grave, if there's another plant , I'm setting the whole castle on fire," she muttered.

Ron's stupid knight sacrifice nearly made her walk out right then and there.

"That's your plan?" she deadpanned. "You die dramatically, and we move on?"

"It's the only way!" Ron insisted.

Cassie groaned, looking up at the ceiling as if asking for patience. "Oh, for Salazar's sake—this is what happens when you let Gryffindors make the plans."

Still, she stayed back with Hermione as Ron got knocked unconscious by a giant stone piece .

"Unbelievable," she muttered, stepping over his body. "If he dies, I am not carrying him back."

Harry was supposed to go ahead alone. Cassie was supposed to stay behind with Hermione although there were two potions to go ahead. But still Harry wanted her to stay behind.

Yeah. That wasn't happening.

"Like hell I'm letting you run into the unknown with that on the other side," she muttered, following him.
