VERONICA VALDEZ

I woke up the next morning with a horrible headache. I never found the bathroom, and just went to bed thirsty. I got up from bed and changed from my pj's to sweatpants and a crop top.

I grabbed my phone and left the room

I grabbed my phone and left the room. It was already 10.30 am, and I figured everyone had already eaten breakfast. I wasn't really hungry though, I never really ate in the morning despite my fathers complaints. He always made sure I knew how much he hated my awful eating habits, and once even asked me if I had an eating disorder. The truth is that I just forget to eat. It's kind of childish, I admit, but it's the truth.
I walked through the hallways, once again having no idea where the dining room is.

Perhaps I should draw a map?

I was about to get frustrated, but luckily I bumped into Mattheo.

"Hey, uh... Where's the dining room?" I asked feeling a bit embarrassed. I tilted my head back a bit, so I could look into his eyes.
"Oh, yeah, no one gave you a tour. Follow me," He said and walked through the doorway on our left. I followed him like a lost puppy, and soon we reached the dining room. The table was filled with different foods. Pancakes, bread, watermelon, yogurt... Tom, Theodore, Draco and Lorenzo were already sitting there, but I couldn't see my father anywhere. I assumed he was already working, and it gave me an uneasy feeling.

I poured myself a glass of water, and drank it. I was starting to make my way back to my room so I could dive into some book and forget about everything else for a moment, but I was interrupted by Draco's voice.
"Aren't you going to eat?"
I turned around and saw them all looking at me intently.
"I don't really feel like eating in the morning," I replied flatly.
"You should," Mattheo added with a slight smile.
"I'm fine."

They all looked at each other for a moment, and then Tom spoke up.
"Your father left us to look after you. So eat."
"Excuse me?" I tried to act like I didn't know what he was talking about, because I didn't want them to know I had eavesdropped on their conversation.
"You heard me," Tom smirked. He seemed to like his power over me, but I was about to prove him wrong.
"You have no kind of authority over me. So I'm gonna go now," I said with a hint of annoyance, trying to fight the urge to wipe that smug smile from his face. His weirdly handsome face.
"Sit down," Tom ordered, and I stopped for a second. He sounded like he was dead serious. However, I decided to ignore it and made my way out of the door. I didn't make it far, before someone grabbed my arm tightly and dragged me back to the table. Theodore.

"What the fuck?" I snapped as he pushed me down on one of the chairs by my shoulders.
"We told you to eat something. So now you'll eat," Mattheo shrugged and went back to eating his own food.
Theodore sat on the chair beside me, and started filling the plate with food. He put some pieces of watermelon and a piece of toast on it.
"That isn't much. You can eat it," he told me and pushed the plate in front of me.
I looked at the plate. It wasn't even about eating anymore, he was right, there wasn't much on the plate. The point was that I didn't want to submit to them and do what they told me to.
"What are you waiting for? Do I have to feed you?" Theo smirked and took a bite of his own food.
I definitely didn't want that, so I just swallowed my pride and started eating. The boys smirked at each other, everyone except Lorenzo.

Assholes.

Soon I was finished with my food, and Tom looked at me, smirking.
"Good girl," He said sarcastically.
I glared at him and left the table quickly, feeling incredibly annoyed. Why did I do what they said?
I'm so stupid.

I went back to my room, and laid on the bed, thinking.
I can't believe my dad would give that kind of power to those dickheads. I was definitely going to have a talk with him about this later.
The rest of the day went quickly, I stayed mostly to my room reading a book and watching Netflix. I didn't see the boys again until dinner, but my father was there too so I wasn't really bothered.
They sent me amused looks during dinner, which I tried my best to ignore. They were just being assholes, and trying to get a reaction of me. I wasn't going to give them that pleasure though. My father tried to have small talk with me, and I gave him short and flat replies, which seemed to worry him. I just couldn't help but feel a bit mad at him for asking them to 'watch over me'. God, I was fifteen, not a fucking baby.

After I was done, I thanked Narcissa for the food and left the table. As I was walking back to my room, my phone buzzed. I took it from my pocket, and saw two message notifications. One was from Ava, but the other one was from my mom.
I decided to ignore Ava for a moment, because she was probably just asking for an update about why I was staying at the Malfoys. I clicked my moms message open, and read it slowly.

'Hey sweetie, I know you're most of the holiday's with your father but I was wondering if you'd like to come for a week or something in Finland? I miss you so much and I'd love to see you before your new semester at Hogwarts begins. Love you.'

I sighed.
My mother lived in Finland. I was born there and lived there my whole childhood until I was eleven and got my Hogwarts letter. I moved to Scotland with my father, but my mom had to stay in Finland because of her job. It was rough for all of us to separate, but over time we got used to it, I think. I still missed her dearly, and tried to go see her there as often as possible. However Finland was quite far away, and I couldn't go there whenever I wanted to.
I quickly typed her an answer before continued making my way to my room.

'Sure mom. I'll ask my father tomorrow if I could come visit you. I miss you.'
