Kate was sitting in the bar of her hotel waiting on Chris, she decided to send a text to Abby.
Hey girl just wanted to see how your doing, miss you, call me ok.
After Kate finished her text she looked up and saw Chris come in, she raised her hand and waved him over.
"Hey." Kate said, standing up to give him a hug.
"Hey." Chris said, returning the hug.
"So you wanted to talk about Abby, is everything ok with her and hope." Chris asked.
"As far as i know things are ok with her and the baby, like i said i haven't had a chance to get back to Boston I've been stuck out here working with a very high maintenance client, how about you." Kate asked.
"Filming, but we should be wrapping up soon." Chris said
"Good so you'll be going back to Boston I assume." Kate said
All Chris did was nod.
Kate and Chris talked for a while.
"I just wish i knew what was going on with Abby." Kate said
"What makes you think there's something wrong?" Chris said
"The last time I talked with her she just sounded really down. Like she was depressed." Kate said
"She looked ok at my mom's place." Chris said
"When was she over at your mom's." Kate asked.
"My mom had a cookout and invited her over, she was in the backyard with my sisters, she looked happy to me." Chris said
But Chris knew she wasn't happy when she saw him introduce Jenna to everyone.
"Hmm maybe it's just baby stress. I don't know, I'm sure she'll be fine once you get back to Boston. I know for a fact she misses you." Kate said
"Oh yeah, what makes you think that?" Chris asked.
"Well I mean, when your name is mentioned she smiles, and i know she's grateful for everything you've done for her and the baby." Kate said
"I would do anything for her and the baby." Chris said
"I know you would, I just wish I knew why she was so down. Damn, I gotta get back to work, thanks for meeting me." Kate said.
"My pleasure, I'm gonna call Abby when I get back to my place. Maybe that will cheer her up. Ok so I'll see ya." Chris said, hugging Kate.
After Kate left and headed back to her room, she finally figured out why Abby sounded so sad. Chris has a girlfriend, Kate has the feeling that Abby has had feelings for Chris for a long time.
But with everything that is happening with Jackson she will never act on those feelings, Kate thought how great Chris and Abby are together especially with hope. She can see a bright and happy future for them, she just wants her best friend to be happy.
A couple days later Abby was sitting in her lawyers office.
"Janice, is there any way you can force Jackson's lawyers to force him to sign the divorce papers? It's been almost a year." Abby said
"Abby i wish i could but I've talked to his lawyers and they won't budge." Janice said
"So what do I do?" Abby said
"Have you tried marriage counseling?" Janice said
"Are you kidding me, he had an affair with his secretary, and openly admitted to sleeping with other women. Why would I wanna be with someone like that?" Abby said
