Chapter Forty Seven - Told you so

-3rd Person-

Rose and Dan arrived at the shoot. Rose was taken to hair and make up while Dan went to find Blair.

"Blair, hey." he greeted seeing her walk with twin girls on either hand "Uh, I wanted to talk to you but i see you got your hands full."

"The Landsburys had too much liquorice. What's up?" she handed the twins off.

"I'm here to get my photo done." Blair looked at him confused "Uh, for the up and comers section and then with Rose."

"This isn't a shoot for a high school year book. There isn't a up and comers section and even if there were, let's face it, you still wouldn't make the cut."

"Tell me you didn't do this just to humiliate Rose and me."

"What? No. I don't even know what this is." she replied

"Epperly told me I was in this shoot. You didn't have anything to do with that?"

"No and I don't know why Epperly would..."she spots Chuck looking over at them and something in her mind clicks. "Oh god. It's Chuck." She storms up to him as he walks away

"This was all you wasn't it? You had Epperly call him and tell him he was..."

"An up and comer? What's your problem?" Dan cut her off

"Are you trying to humiliate him? Is that it?" Blair continued

"I don't care about him one way or the other I just wanted you and my sister to see that he's not apart of this world. That he can't be trusted. I know you kissed him." the two looked at each other "Hum drum Humphrey who is married to my sister." Blair stepped back

"She was right." Blair breathed

"What?"

"Rosie." Dan told him with a small smug look as he folded his arms.

"Tonight I was going to tell you that i was ready, I felt like we were both in sync now grown up from our old high school ways. But Rosie thought different and she was right. You're still a child."

"Blair and I never kissed, and if the fact that you would honestly think I would cheat on your sister after everything not only she's been through alone but us together as a couple really shows how small minded you are."

"Epperly told me..."

"Epperly is a hopeless romantic." Chuck turned to face his smirking sister "We're actually almost friends she was happy to help. if you had changed like Blair. Turns out you didn't." Rose walked over

"Ya got played." She looped one arm with her husband and the other with her best friend they left him standing there.

-Rose-

I finished getting ready as Dan sat what I could only describe as admiring.

"What?" I asked

"You look beautiful." I smile looking down "And one of the best things about you is, you either don't care or you don't know it."

'Okay, stop." I flicked my hair back "Come on we have to have our picture taken."

"What?"

"I spoke to the editor, the claim about you joining Chuck and me was real. He claims that us Bass' are like New York royalty and you married a princess or a queen. The point is if you want to join me, you can."

"Okay, let's do this."

"Wait you do know that at some point you will be know other than just my husband right? This whole you're Rosie Bass' husband is just temporary." he grinned then pulled me into his arms

"Yes, that is my hope. But being your husband is pretty great." I laughed

"Come on lover boy." I pulled him along to where my brother was waiting

"What is he doing here?" he scowls at us.

"No need to be such a sour puss, brother. You were bested, by me. So except the loss and move on. Now, move the Queen is here."

"I was thinking that if Mr Humphrey and Mr Bass sit in the chairs with Mrs Bass-Humphrey, you standing behind them with a hand on either." Both men sat down and I took my place behind them putting a hand on each shoulder. Our pictures were taken

"Can you hake her hand maybe look up at her. Great great." they did so

Rufus was a crafty little bugger. While Charles was licking his wounds at being bested by his sister. Rufus gathered the rest of the family. Dan and joined at the family apartment.

"Save me a waffle but first..." Rufus trailed off

"We have a surprise." Dan and I chimed

"You're socialising with my mother?" Mom asked

"That is surprising." Serena commented

"Rufus has gathered the family darling." CeCe stated

"The whole family. We're having a family photo. Lily, I assume you know Laurie Simmons?" Laurie came forward and smiled. Lily stood up from her seat shocked. And the equipment was set up

"Hi, uh, this is a family portrait, so I'm assuming you're Charlie?" he asked a blonde

"Yeah, hi. You're Dan." she held out her hand which he shook

"Yeah"

"Which makes you Rose. Aunt Lily's adoptive daughter, don't you have a brother?" she wondered

"I do, he's sulking. So how long are you staying?" I wonder with a small smile

"Depends I guess."

"I'm ready if you guys are." Laurie told us.

"Come on CeCe you can sit next to me." Rufus took her hand

"Well why don't I sit in between you." she suggested gesturing to William and Rufus. They agreed

"I call standing next to Eric, just so I can look taller." I call

"Haha, you're hilarious." he sassed and I grinned. I stood between him and Dan, we were all ready as several shots were taken of us, I pulled a few poses before we took a 'normal' one. The phone rang and we all looked too it.

"Lily, do you want me too...." Rufus asked

"Oh, that's alright. Um Just let it ring. I want my family photo to capture this moment." Dan slipped his arm around my waist and i held it there

"Okay, say cheese." I smiled nicely as our picture was taken in that moment
