Serena told us where she and Charlie were, the reading room. We met up with Nate and walked in. Serena and Charlie were talking.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" Dan questions
"I'll be okay, thanks. i'm sorry for wearing your dress without asking, Rose." I shrugged
"I'm over it."
"So what are we doing here?" Nate wonders
"I owe you and apology all of you really." she tells us
"Did something happen that I don't know about?" Nate asks and I was think the same thing.
"Nate, last fall I asked you to wait around while i figured things out and I never really did. I'm sorry if I hurt you. Dan, Rosie. I'm sorry for taking so long to get past the fact that you two are end game and the pass I made at you. I hope you can forgive me."
"We already have." Nate told her
" But I means a lot to hear it from you."
"S, I've dealt with bigger things. Your antics are pretty easy going, so I'm cool." she chuckles at my response "How about we get our coats, and go have something to eat. I don't know about you guys but I'm hungry."
"Agreed." we all headed back downstairs
"We'll get the coats." Serena says taking me along with her. Once we were all ready we all went back to our respective homes.
-Three weeks later-
I was officially summer break. The family had gathered from brunch this morning. I was talking with Blair.
"Here I got you this." I handed her a present she opened it.
"Best friends and future matron of honour need to correspond don't they? Besides one day our words might be immortalised in archives for future generations." We laughed
"So where are you spending the summer?" She wondered
"In Canada, at the cabin. Three months alone it's the honeymoon we've waited for. And it was so amazing the last time we were there."
"Maybe you'll come back with something else." she glanced down.
"I doubt it, I still have the implant, besides we've been married barely a year. We haven't talked about that yet. Come on." I pulled her away
"You don't have to worry about sun damage. And we don't have to spend the month of august with Eleanor and Cyrus on that cruise, like they suggested. Can you imagine?" We heard Rufus.
"I don't think the Principality of Monaco's yacht count's as a cruise Mr Humphrey." Blair comments as we join the others.
"Well, they didn't mention that. Maybe there's still time to RSVP." Rufus joked as I joined Dan and wrapped my arms around him.
"Well, on that note, I think I'll head out, Nathaniel." Chuck commented standing up.
"I'll hitch a ride." Nate replied also standing but going to get his things. Chuck came over to me
"So, isolation for three months."
"Yes, problem?"
"None, treat her right?" he pointed at my husband
"You're several months late with that but of course." he nodded to my brother. He then went to talk to Blair.
"Well, parent's we're off." Dan says
"Have a good summer, you two." We hug each of them and Eric
"Serena!" I yell causing them to wince
"Alright i'm coming, no need to yell." She comes out with Charlie and hugs us. "Have fun."
"We will." Dan replies then hugs her. We head downstairs as our things things are already on the jet ahead of us.
