Chapter Six - Bittersweet

I closed the door of my apartment and lock it. Today I move into to the Brownstone. Originally it was move in day for both Dan and Me. I grabbed the last of my things and take it downstairs to the car. We take the 10 minute drive and I look up at my new home. No going back now, I guess there was no going back now. I walked up the steps and unlocked the door. Over the summer I had it redecorated to both our taste. I dropped my bags and looked around, the kitchen had been refitted all new furniture the bedroom a walk in his and her closet. Two offices and a training room for me. The doorbell rang and I jogged down to answer it.

Mom, Serena, Eric and Chuck. I opened the door and greeted them

"Oh, Rosalie, this place is just beautiful." Mom complimented

"Thank you. Would you like the tour?" They all said yes and I walked them through the house before settling to have some tea.

"So, do you plan on having a Dorotea?" Eric wondered

"I don't know. I've just moved in and I wanna get settled first before I make a decision like that." I answered

"Have you spoken to Dan since we got back." Serena asked

"He's been busy with Milo, so....Georgina's not back yet and Vanessa tells me he's just focusing on keeping his kid alive."

It was the first day back at school. I sat at my laptop drinking coffee, the Gossip Girl sight was under construction. Radio silent for the first time in years. I was enjoying the moment. I finished my coffee and got ready for the day. I walked and made my way to Bleeker to grab another coffee and a pastry.

"Rose, hey." I stopped hearing Vanessa's voice.

"Hey, V." I hugged her

"How are you?" she asked me

"To be honest I have never wanted more than to be in classes and working. I have missed this, what about you?" I ask as we start walking again

"I'm good, I'm good. Still a bit jet lagged

"Yeah, you were in Hati. How was that?"

"Life changing, the atmosphere there is unlike anything else. So the other day was move in day right."

"It was, it was. Weird actually. The Dan and I talked about doing it last year it was the place for the two of us, where people had to ring the bell and knock to enter so no one would walk in on me half naked." we laughed "Now it feels empty. Luckily for me, Eleanor is brining Moon over this afternoon his little place is all set up." Our phones went off

Sorry for the Silent treatment, but everyone needs the occasional R and R, even yours truly. Lucky for you, I observed a sacred Upper East Side Tradition and had a little work done, while I was gone. Now enough with the pleasantries, time for the dirt. I spy with my many eyes Chuck Bass returning from Paris the other day with a pretty new fall accessory. But if she's the kind of girl you bring home to meet your step mother why is Chuck visiting solo?

Also spotted. Lonely boy's baby mama looking like one hot mama on the beach in St Barts. If she's flown the coop who's cleaning up her baby's poop? As for our Mon Cherie Rosie. She has a big house all to herself, do we sense a official break up on the horizon? What about Serena and Blair? It seems our girls have started their college careers with a social call to Hamilton House. But if B is holding the key to the kingdom guess Serena is out in the cold.

"I'll see you later, okay?"

"Okay." V left and I made a call to Dan

"Hello?"

"Dan, hey. We didn't get much of a chance to talk the other day, but I..." i heard gurgles and whimpers on the other end "Is that Milo, I hear?"

"Rosie. I'm sorry but this is a terrible time. I'm gonna have to call you back" he hung up

"Okay then." I closed my phone and was about to put it away when Serena called

"Hi."

"Hey, so first day as a freshman is not going so well. Blair is in her club, Nate is not speaking to me and I feel completely lost."

"If your still out side HH take a right and walk for about a mile then turn left a few doors, you should find the office."

"Wow, thank you."

"I got bored and toured the campus. As for Nate, he's making you jealous by dating that blonde chick. Chuck told me he gave him his little black book and according to Gossip girl he's been sleeping through it all summer. Let him bitch and take back his balls he'll be fine. Blair, she'll want to play with her shine new toy before she gets bored or guilty whichever comes first."

"It's nice having you onside again."

"Give it time, you'll piss me off and we'll be at war." she laughed "Serena. I gotta go."

"Oh okay, I will talk to you later. Bye." i hung up and went to classes.
