**Y/n's POV**

"I'm ready for this marriage," I declared firmly, locking eyes with Jeon Jungkook, the man I loathed from the bottom of my heart. He, too, met my gaze with a smirk, and all I wanted to do in that moment was to wipe that smirk off his face with a resounding slap.

My dad said, "Y/N, what are you saying? Go inside your room, sweetheart. I will handle this, okay?" Averting my eyes from Jungkook, I looked at my dad; his hands were trembling. He gestured for me to go inside. Seeing my father like this broke my heart, but I knew I had to do this.

"You said if your daughter is willing to get married, then you don't have a problem. Now, she is okay with the marriage. No one is forcing her; she is willing to be mine. Then what's the problem?" My blood boiled at his remarks to my father. He didn't force – how could someone be this low?

Taehyung, who had been silent until now, spoke up, clenching his jaw, "Just shut up, Jungkook. She is not marrying you, and where the hell is this topic coming from?" I knew Taehyung; he is controlling himself for the girl beside him who is trembling. Taehyung realized Jisoo's fear. "I love your sister, and I get it you don't trust us, but I promise you I will never hurt her or let anyone hurt her. I will make her always happy."

"If I were in your place, would you believe me?" Jungkook asked Taehyung.

Jin Uncle came forward, said with anger, and took Jungkook's collar, "No, that will never happen because y/n will never love someone like you."

Jeon Ji-tae, Jungkook's father, who had been observing silently, finally spoke up with a sinister grin, "Let's be clear, everyone. This marriage isn't just about your precious daughter. It's the only solution to ensure Taehyung and Jisoo's safety. They've gotten involved in matters much bigger than their comprehension. You think I won't hesitate to rip away the happiness you've built if this union doesn't happen? Your son's dreams, your daughter's laughter—they'll all vanish."

As Ji-tae's threatening words echoed through the tense atmosphere, my dad's face turned red with anger. He stepped forward, pointing a trembling finger at Ji-tae, "You think you can dictate our lives, force my daughter into this? You have no idea who you're dealing with."

Kim Soo Hyun, my uncle, who had been silently observing the situation, stepped forward, his eyes narrowing with determination. "Ji-tae, you've underestimated the strength of this family for the last time. Threatening our happiness won't go unanswered. You might be playing a dangerous game, but remember, we know how to play too."

As the tension escalated, Jisoo finally spoke up, her voice trembling, "Y/n, please, I can't let your life be destroyed for me. Taehyung, we can find another way. I can't bear the thought of causing so much pain."

"Enough, everyone. I said I'm okay with this marriage; it's my decision. If this is the solution for maintaining peace, then I will marry him," I declared, resolute in standing by my choice despite the tumult of emotions within me. Even though I harbored a deep hatred for Jungkook and knew about the longstanding enmity between the Kims and Jeons, my decision was made. The sacrifice was mine to bear. However, it's not merely about fostering peace between the Kims and Jeons or ensuring Taehyung and Jisoo's happiness. It's for him—my way of dismantling the people who have ruthlessly snatched away my happiness.
