Coldness overwhelmed my body. What happened? I looked around and realized that I was in my room. What was going on? I was supposed to be dead. My parents were crying beside my bed. I had no clue what was going on, but one thing I did notice was that I felt a lot better; stronger.

"Come on dear. I will call a funeral home." My dad helped my mother off the floor.

"He was only sixteen. He didn't get to live his life." My mom weeped. I felt bad, but I didn't know what was to come.

My parents walked out of the room and got to calling family members. I wanted to stand up. I was better and I couldn't take being in this bed anymore.

I sat up and swung my legs around so that my feet were on the ground. I put my hands beside my waist and pushed up. I felt my weight move to my feet. Oh man, did it feel great!

I put my right foot in front of me and then my left. I did it over and over again. I could walk! I walked around my room for several minutes, then, I realized my mirror.

I never really knew what I looked like, but for some reason, I felt that what I looked like now, wasn't what I looked like a day ago. I moved closer to my mirror and touched my face. My hands were cold. Every part of me was cold.

I poked my face, then my body. I was toned. I actually had muscles. I lifted up my shirt; I had abs. "What?" I asked myself. I looked into my green eyes. My eyes seemed to be glowing, they weren't hazel or green; they were neon.
I looked behind me in the mirror and noticed my body; my dead body. I was laying on my bed. "What is going on?" I asked myself. I walked over to my body and realized that i was indeed dead. But how was I moving around?

I noticed something about my body. The body laying on my bed had black hair and the hair I had now was white. I was also a lot more pale than the body on my bed. I looked in the mirror and saw my green eyes again. I reached out to the dead body and opened an eye. It was blue.

"What is this?" I asked.

"That is your dead body." A voice said. I jumped and turned around. A girl that looked about my age was standing there. She was wearing a black skin-tight suit. She had really long dark blonde hair and eyes, just like mine. She was gorgeous.

"What is this?" I yelled.

"Shh, you don't want them to hear you." She moved closer to me as she said this.

"Who are you?" I asked her. "What's going on"

"You died. Isn't it obvious?" She said with a smirk.

"I know that. Why can I move around?" I was so confused.

"You're a ghost Danny Johns." She smiled.

"How do you know my name? How am I a ghost? Who are you?" I took a step back.

"I'm Amber. I am your guide." She said.

"My guide?"

"I show you around and teach you how to be a ghost," she explained.

"How to be a ghost? Why do I need a guide?" I asked her.

"You are going to reveal us if you don't have a guide. I'm just here to help." She said.

"What about my family?" I asked.

"You're dead. You can't see them anymore." She stated.

"At all?" I asked.

She shook her head. "Come on. I have to take you to the council so you can get the certificate of death." She turned towards the window.

"Certificate of death?" I followed her.

She opened the window and jumped out. My room was on the second floor. I ran towards the window and looked down. "Are you alright?" I yelled down to her.

"Yeah I'm fine. Jump!" She responded.

"Are you crazy? I'm not jumping!"

I heard footsteps coming towards my room. "Danny, jump!" Amber yelled.

My bedroom door opened and I jumped out the window. "Danny?" My mom yelled. I heard her start to cry.

"Goodbye." I whispered.

"Okay, now we have to get to the portal." Amber said.

"Portal?" I asked.

"Follow me." She started floating in the air.

"How are you doing that?" I asked, amazed.

"I'm flying. You can too." She said encouragingly.

"How?" I looked at my feet.

"Just think about it." She smiled.

I thought about it then, I started rising into the air. "I'm doing it!" I yelled.

"Cool right?" She laughed.

"Extremely!"

"Come on. Follow me," she said then, took off.
