Valarie knew that All to well. When her mom was out doing god knows what and her dad wasn't in his right mind, her and her sister had no way of keeping warmth
Her and her sisters used to play this game of who could do the most jumping jacks to keep their toes from freezing off or sometimes her older sisters Rosita and Alora, would tell her that they were playing "camp" just so they had an excuse to be outside by a fire.
So when that first cool breeze came through, the group knew they needed a early start at getting supplies and Valarie knew she had to layer up.
"There's nothing in this house man" a redneck voice said said "keep searching there might be something useful" A tall man with a sheriff hat on said. "I'll go search up here" a young Asian man said as he opend a closet door to find a small child aiming a knife at his face
"Woah! Woah! Easy" the Asian said as the two men appeared behind him.
"Who are you and what do you want!" The small girl yelled
The man in the hat stepped up "I'm Rick this is Glenn and Daryl, we don't want to hurt you we just have some questions"
She slowly put down her knife "what kind of questions? "
"Where's you parents?"
"Your moms assho-"
"Kid just answer the question" Daryl said
She rolled her eyes " it's just me and my sisters but I haven't seen the, in about 2 weeks so their probably dead" she said coldly
"How many walkers have you killed?" Rick looked at Daryl as he nodded
"Walkers?"
"The dead ones"
"Oh, uh maybe 2 dozen?" She replied as Glenn raised his eyebrows
"How many people you killed?" Rick went on
" Two" she said proudly
"Why?"
"We'll the first one was because he was trying to break into our shelter, and the second guy trying to kill me and my sisters" she said with a hand on her hip
"She's a fire cracker" Glenn whispered to Rick who nodded.
"What's your name kid?" Daryl grunted
"Valarie, Valarie Espinosa"
"Valarie, Why don't you come back with us?" Rick said
"How do I know your not going to kill me?" She said putting her weight on her right leg
