The hot sun beat down on the prison windows as everyone began to wake and get to work. And Alora still hadn't returned
Valarie on the other hand, was enjoying her beauty sleep until she was woke up by the sound of a baby gurgling. She sat up to find Beth holding Judith at her door
"Sorry to wake you, Rick said the animals need to be tended to" she smiled adjusting Judith on her hip
"Ok I'm up" the young brunette said groggily walking to her dresser as Beth walked out.
How is everyone already awake? She thought getting dressed and wetting down her curls.
She walked down the stairs into the main cell block to grab deer jerky as her breakfast
"Is there any beef jerky left?" She asked rubbing her eyes
"Yea, here take this one" Daryl said putting his crossbow on handing the jerky to her
"Thanks" she mumbled walking over to Beth.
" Hey Beth" she smiled as turned around "Oh hey Val!
" do you have any clothes that don't fit you anymore?" She questioned. Some of jeans for getting a little to short
"Yea, I'll drop them by your cell" she smiled softly. Beth was an angel, they would stay up late talking about Beth's boyfriends before the apocalypse or just talking in general about little things. Beth was basically her other sister at this point
"You're the best!" She yelled opening the door her head aching at the sudden light

She walked down to the pin next to where Carl and Rick were working yawing
"Why didn't you wake me?" She said combing down the horse looking over to Rick
"You looked like you needed some sleep" Rick laughed
Valarie looked at Carl who had a big smirk in his face and looked back at Rick
"What's that supposed to mean" she laughed
He just shrugged as he went back to to the dirt
"Shove off" Valarie snorted getting the carrots for the pigs
She could feel Carls eyes on her smiling as she wiped the sweat off her forehead
