"I'm so proud of you JJ, you know that right?"
They were both in bed now, with JJ on top while Mikey was underneath him, stroking his face. They would've already been having sex by now, but Mikey had wanted to express his feelings on the situation just once before they did.
"I do. That's the kind of motivation I need, you know; you believing in me. That's what I live for now."
Mikey seemed like he was about to say something else, but JJ started to use his body to put pressure on Mikey's lower regionals. He instantly paused, sucking in a breath and trying to hold back making any noise. Now that the mood was set, there didn't need to be anymore words.
But before they could engage any further, the doorbell rang.
The sound confused both of them. What reason would anyone have to come to their house? Mikey peered closer and suddenly recognized who was behind the door through the openings in the wood, and volunteered to answer it before JJ could even distinguish who it was. He stayed in bed as Mikey opened the door.
"What are you doing here?" Mikey asked, hiding his lower half behind the door to avoid any unnecessary questions. The person there turned out to be Tom.
"JJ was released from jail today," He started. "How are you feeling about that?"
"Well-" Mikey didn't know whether to be honest or not, due to the consequences last time.
"Happy?" Tom interrupted, glaring. "Will and Mary wanted me to ask you that question, specifically. Since you think he's some sort of saint, and that his crimes don't matter, I'd assume that's correct?"
"That's not-" Mikey tried coming up with a defense. "I don't think his crimes don't matter! I think it's something he can learn from, and plus, he was insane when he did all of that, so-"
Tom pretended to laugh, slapping his knee for the full effect. "Really? I'm definitely telling everyone about this! Do you seriously think," He put off his act for now. "That anything can excuse literal murder? It wasn't even self-defense either! Like Will said at the meeting: Either you're an oblivious idiot, or you're genuinely trying to defend murder just because you've known JJ for a long time. What are you doing to do when he comes back to this village? Welcome him back, as if he's not some serial killer?"
Being horny and stressed definitely wasn't a good combination. Mikey had tried to manage a discussion up until now, but the constant interruptions and accusations were sending him over the edge.
Just then, he heard a creaking behind him. JJ was out of bed now, fully dressed again, and was spying on Tom from behind Mikey.
"Let me talk to him." He said, eyes narrowed and lit with anger.
"Nothing good will come from that interaction," Mikey thought, his stress only building. "I don't want JJ to be mad! He's supposed to be focusing on bettering himself, not people like Tom showing up at our door! Besides, he's probably even angrier after I told him about that time he tried to attack me at the meeting!"
Tom was messing everything up. Mouthing "I've got this" to JJ, he turned back to Tom and tried one more time to defend himself.
"I just want things to go back to the way they were," Mikey said through gritted teeth. "Where me and JJ were happy together, we'd make YouTube videos for our fans, and nothing would be wrong. If there's an opportunity for both of us to properly move on from the past, then we'll do it."
"Who's to say he won't move on? What if he can't let go of how good it felt to kill?"
"Shut up!" Mikey snapped. "The audacity you have to show up at my door after nearly beating me up last time we interacted! You being here is unnecessary and wastes time, so go! Get out of here!"
