The longer the clamor went on, the more stressed out JJ became. He wanted to sock every single person behind him in the throat, but instead, he directed his anger towards the locked gate. Besides, the people in there were more deserving of his anger than the citizens just trying to survive down here.

"First they killed my son, and now they're going to kill someone who's even more important to me! I won't let them! When I get in there, I'll make it a bloodbath!"

He'd been tearing at the gate for so long now, that his hands were scraped and were starting to bleed. But he didn't care, of course - he needed to get inside.

"Whatever it takes." JJ head buzzed with effort. "Whatever it-"

Just then, one of the wires bent slightly. Seeing this as an opportunity, JJ pulled at it with all of his strength, and eventually, it snapped off entirely. Using the little opening, he wedged as much of his hand in there as he could, and pried it open enough for him to fit both of his hands inside. Going from there, he forced open a space that could presumably fit himself entirely.

"I'm coming, Mikey!" He shouted, not caring who was listening. He tried to squeeze into the space he'd made, only to find that, he got stuck halfway through. "Not now! I don't have time for this!"

Over the edge at this point, JJ threw all of his common decency out the window and just started to scream Mikey's name. He knew he looked absolutely insane, but he could care less - by now, Mikey was probably dead; he'd spent so much time trying to break the stupid gate with his bare hands.

Besides, he could already see smoke coming from the top of the building.

"The only person that could've helped me until I died; my best friend, my closest and only true companion, the person I loved with my whole heart - gone, just like that! I didn't get to say goodbye, or get to see or touch him for the last time! No, he was taken right from me!"

Just then, JJ fell forward as he felt something scrape against his side. It definitely hurt, but that wasn't the point. The point was, he'd fallen through, and now, he was free.

Gasping at the realization, JJ got up, ignoring the stinging he felt from his hands, and raced toward the building, praying he wasn't too late.

He skidded to a halt at the front doors, which were metal, and required a hand scanner just like the gate. Swearing to himself, JJ looked for another possible way in, and eventually found a window. He was about to try and break it, but realized all too soon that it was thicker than he could handle. Peering inside, he caught sight of something green, and instantly recognized it to be Mikey. He was surrounded by the same four guys that had taken him, and three of them held Mikey in place, while the fourth guy prepared some sort of injection.

"Please-" Mikey's voice was muffled because of the thickness of the window, but JJ could still hear him nonetheless. "We have food back at our base. We can give you as much as you need."

"This is way more sufficient." The man with the injection answered. "And, admittedly, more fun. Besides, turtle meat is a great source of vitamins and minerals. Down here, we're going to need that, especially your additional fat. I have a feeling it will supply us for a while; even longer than our first subject did. Well, that's probably guaranteed, considering our last one was just a child."

Just the vague mention of Connor filled JJ with pure rage. And once he saw the same guy abruptly take Mikey's arm and inject him with whatever he had, it gave JJ the motivation to try breaking in. But before he could start pounding on the window, the metal door next to him suddenly opened.
