(Womp womp)

"Please, just let me go."

"I'm sorry, dear, but I can't let you leave this bed. This is your punishment; you can't leave, and therefore you can't eat or drink anything at all today. Hopefully this will teach you a lesson, so you won't sneak off anymore, and I won't have to repeat today ever again."

"I'm so hungry though... my stomach hurts."

"That's part of it, Mikey."

"But I need food, or else I might get sick. I also need water to stay hydrated."

"Oh, you can live without all that for one day. You've managed so far, and once you go to bed and wake up in the morning, your punishment will be over. You've gone all day now without protesting, or even talking that much at all. Just behave until we go to bed in a few minutes, alright?"

Mikey hesitantly nodded, dropping the situation despite being unsatisfied with his answer.

Deciding he might as well start preparing Mikey for bed, JJ tried to relax him by giving his shoulders some soft rubs. However, this didn't seem to work, and JJ noticed him actually tense up more at his touch. He didn't know why at first, but that was when he realized, he was rubbing awfully close to his...

JJ sighed. He had to control himself; he couldn't let something like this happen ever again. Looking down at Mikey, he saw him uncomfortably shift underneath him, like he wanted to ask something, but was nervous to.

"Is there something you need to say?"

"..."

"Come on, you can tell me. I promise I won't get mad... I want you to feel comfortable talking to me."

"..."

"Mikey?"

"Why did you hurt me yesterday?"

A moment of silence passed.

Then, JJ leaned down and put both of his hands on the sides of Mikey's face. At first he was alarmed, but after realizing he wasn't angry, he grew confused.

"I lost control." JJ answered. "You were the one who came back to me while I was reminiscing on what I saw earlier, so I took my anger out on you. I really shouldn't have, especially not like that - I'm sorry."

Mikey was about to say something, but he didn't get the chance before JJ leaned slightly further down and gently kissed him. Mikey was taken aback by this, but he didn't object to make things easier, and to not anger him. Once JJ was finished, he brushed his fingers across the side of his face, very slowly, gently, and with precision - he was clearly savoring this moment.

"I got mad at the wrong person," He whispered, as Mikey continued to twinge with uncomfortablity under his hold. "I shouldn't have blamed you at all. I'm so sorry, my precious... it will never happen again. You did so good today, and now it's time to rest. Things will be back to normal between the two of us in the morning."

Mikey turned to his side and closed his eyes, rubbing his arms and keeping to himself on his side of the bed, as JJ released him and layed on the other side. He kept his eyes intently on Mikey's breathing, waiting for him to fall asleep. JJ figured keeping the lamp on would help with the process, and that having it off would only instill fear in him.

Because of last time, of course.

Once he saw Mikey's breathing reach a light, steady pace, he sat up and glanced at the alarm clock: 11:57. He was usually supposed to be there twenty minutes prior, but being a little late never hurt anyone.

JJ would usually feel excited to start his work, but tonight, he was feeling the exact opposite.
