At last, the pain was gone.
He felt refreshed; cleansed. His mind wasn't running a mile a minute, and he had no intense emotions in his heart. For the first time in what seemed like so long, he felt at peace.
But of course, all of that went away when he opened his eyes. Surrounded by black, he realized where he was and why he felt the way he did - this was a nightmare, it wasn't real.
"I'm not supposed to sleep; I'm not supposed to be here! This was because Mikey knocked me unconscious!"
The dread quickly set in. JJ ran his hands across his face and through his hair, starting to sob as he felt the familiar shiver down his spine; paranoia of what was to come. He gripped his hair and pulled at it, the anxiety building so high that he was breathing too hard, and was quickly becoming exhausted. His vision started to spin, and he rocked himself back and forth as he waited for long, dreadful seconds, for his murderers to arrive. To tear into his flesh, choke him, or whatever else they planned to do to make him suffer this time.
JJ screamed as he suddenly felt something sharp grasp around his throat, and the force yanked him backwards and onto his feet. He desperately looked around to find that now, multiple killer clowns were surrounding him, as well as one harshly grasping his throat, its sharp claws pressed directly against it, a threat if he were to try and pull away or even move slightly.
"Selfish, violent human." The killer clown oppressing him spoke, its unnatural and incredibly raspy voice terrifying JJ even more. "Each day that passes, you're ensuring you'll drown in even more of your own blood when we arrive. You bring such a horrid fate upon yourself with your actions."
The surrounding killer clowns hissed in excitement as it forced JJ to his knees, and kept his hands together behind his back. He shut his eyes, his unstable breathing out of control as he started to feel dizzy from the rate he was using up air at.
Just then, JJ felt something wet flow past his lower half. Opening his eyes, he saw a red liquid forming all around him, quickly spreading and rising. As more of it produced, the rancid smell became stronger, immediately signaling what it was - blood.
It was rising extremely quickly. JJ's heart seemed to slam into his throat, and he tried to stand up, but the killer clown was keeping him down.
"I'm going to drown in blood," He realized. "And I won't be able to get away from it. No, no! I'd rather have my throat slit! Anything but-"
Just then, the surrounding killer clowns gathered even closer to him, each grabbing hold on him somewhere. Then, with all four of their forces combined, JJ was completely powerless as they thrusted him forward, plunging him into the blood.
His head was under for a few seconds, before they brought him back up again. Now, they were laughing maniacally; enjoying the sight of JJ helplessly coughing up the blood that was forced into his mouth upon the impact. He could hardly see due to the liquid dripping into his eyes and coating his face, but he wasn't able to react for much longer before he was shoved in again.
Many times in a row, JJ was mercilessly forced in and out of the thick liquid. Until then, when he was forced in for the last time, the feeling of many pairs of claws roughly holding onto him disappeared.
Then, the floor seemed to vanish as well. Looking down, he realized he was now completely surrounded; top to bottom in blood, with no surface in sight. The killer clowns were gone, and he was sinking with no floor to stop him.
He saw nothing but red, and he had no idea where he was going as he desperately kicked forward, trying to reach the non-existent surface. Once the realization hit him, he fully panicked, lost his composure, and quickly started to sink again.
His eyes, ears, and nose were completely flooded with thick, warm, and reeking blood. He couldn't breathe anymore, but he was kept alive despite having no air to lengthen the suffering. JJ's lungs burned, and each time he inevitably tried to take in a breath, the feeling intensified as the exact opposite of refreshing air flooded his airways.
After what seemed like forever, the red was finally replaced with a deep black, indicating it was over.
For now.
