"You told him you were a thief? And you're hoping that they'll ask you to join them?! You are crazy!" Raquel stared at Alicia with her mouth open. "You are risking your career!"

"Relax, I am not stupid, I've talked to the boss about it. "And... voila, I got free hand!" she said cheerfully. "Although... he didn't exactly give it to me gladly..." she added with a grimace. "But I have it! They are even going to fetch me some legally fake files about my problematic past, if his nerd of a brother would start digging after me. Hopefully he won't look in our yearbook from the academy..."

"Congratualations!" Raquel said ironically. "You just stole a case... But wait, you met his brother too?" she frowned.

"Yes. And by the way..." Alicia looked through the papers on her desk and pushed a picture in front of Raquel. "I think you did too."

"No way!" Raquel looked at the old picture about Andres and his younger brother. "This is Salva, the guy who was looking for expensive rings for his fiance! I knew that I've seen him somewhere!"

"Salva my ass! I don't know what his real name is, it wasn't mentioned in Andres' papers, but it's surely not that. And fiance? I really doubt that..." Alicia laughed. "That guy is as single as it gets. But he found you sympathetic." she added offhandedly as she took the picture out of Raquel's hand and threw it back on the pile of papers.

"Me?! How would you know that?" Raquel rolled her eyes.

"He said that he bumped into a nice woman at the fair. But let's get to the point, what was he doing there? Looking for rings you said? Who was he talking to? We might have a clue to start with!" Alicia hit the table with enthusiasm.

"I can look after that guy. I still have the flyer of his shop I think." Raquel rubbed her face.

Alicia looked at her, her smile fading a bit. "Look... I know that you're going through a stressful time, you don't have to get involved in this if you don't want to."

"No, I want to do this." Raquel looked at her with a determined look. "I have to do something. I'm in."

"Great!" the smile lit up again on Alicia's face. "Then let's focus on the guy with the diamond rings. I am meeting Andres again only tomorrow afternoon, so we won't find out much more from them until then."

"Oh, hello, Lucia! You're very punctual." Sergio greeted the woman they were expecting after he opened the door. "Unlike my brother. He's not here yet. He has a meeting which is not over yet, but he texted me asking to keep you company until he arrives, so..."

"Why didn't he just text me to come later then?" she frowned as she took off her coat. She was dressed less formal than the last time, wearing a thick, comfortable looking green sweater and black skirt. Sergio started to feel too official in his usual shirt.

"Well..." Because there is no meeting. It's just me who is rather paranoid and I insisted that I want to talk to you before we come clean in front of you about what we do. "I guess he was afraid that you'd cancel it. Do you want anything to drink?"

"Not yet, thank you." she around and sat down on the sofa which was in the middle of the apartment. "Your business must be going well if he has this many meetings."

"Well, we are not complaining."

"I didn't even ask last time, who is the boss, you or Alonso?"

"Well... he's the more social one, so apparently it's him, but technically..." Sergio sat down on the other side of the sofa and fixed his glasses. "I do most of the thinking."
