THIRD PERSON POV :)

Vedanti's hands trembled as she read the words again and again, hoping she had misunderstood. The revelation from her father's journal left her reeling, the room spinning around her. She clutched the journal tightly, her knuckles white with the intensity of her grip.

Journal Entry (Continued):

"I had to do this, God, please forgive me. My wife has given birth to a baby boy, whose name we have kept Abhirath. My own family tried to kill him before he was even born, so I had to give him to my friend Vishwanath to keep him safe. His wife is also pregnant; he will announce he had twins, and I will say to my wife she had a miscarriage. But I promise, I will make my kingdom stronger so my baby can be safe here in the future."

---

As the full implication of these words sank in, Vedanti felt her knees buckle. She sank to the floor, the journal slipping from her hands and landing with a dull thud on the ground. Her heart pounded in her chest, a mixture of disbelief and horror overwhelming her.

"No, no, this can't be true," she whispered, her voice shaking. "How could they do this to their wives, to us? How could they lie like this?"

Her mind raced, piecing together the fragments of information she had just uncovered. Vishwanath's wife had indeed suffered a miscarriage, but the truth had been masked by the birth of Abhirath. Her parents had hidden this secret, protecting Abhirath while deceiving their partners.

A cold dread washed over her as she realized the full extent of the situation. "Wait a minute," she murmured, her voice barely a whisper. "Oh God, no. Please, no." Her thoughts spiraled, each one more terrifying than the last. "How could this be? Abhirath... he can't be my biological sibling."

The room seemed to close in on her as the pieces clicked into place. Her parents' opposition to her marriage to Abhirath now made a horrifying sense. They had known the truth all along. "No, no, no," she cried out, her voice breaking. "This can't be happening."

Her body shook with the intensity of her emotions. Tears streamed down her face, blurring her vision. She rocked back and forth on the floor, clutching her stomach as if trying to hold herself together. The weight of the revelation was too much to bear.

"Abhirath," she sobbed, the name torn from her lips. "We can't be siblings. We just can't be."

Memories of their time together flooded her mind—their laughter, their love, their dreams of a future together. It all felt like a cruel joke now, tainted by the possibility that their bond was built on a foundation of lies.

Her breathing grew ragged, each gasp for air feeling like a battle. She felt as if the ground beneath her had crumbled away, leaving her suspended in a void of uncertainty and fear. The room spun around her, her thoughts a chaotic whirlwind.

In her mind's eye, she saw Abhirath's face, his loving gaze, his gentle touch. How could she reconcile the love they shared with the horrifying possibility that they were siblings? The thought was too much to bear, an agony that pierced her heart.

She cried out again, her voice raw with anguish. "No, please, no," she pleaded, as if the universe could somehow reverse the truth she had uncovered. But there was no undoing what she now knew.
